I have not. Back when I booked the lesson there was still movement in the process, so I was hopeful at the time before there was a sudden halt to process again.

Does this only apply to handguns with decockers or hammer-fired ones? I'm probably just over thinking this but would you still have to decock your striker-fired handgun such as a glock at that time or no since its not really applicable?

County Fees $ 100.00
Registration Fee for Training Class $ 60.00
TOTAL $ 160.00

They are still charging for their training class even though they no longer provide it? (Or did I miss something along the way where they repurposed that $60 for something else and they haven't updated their fee schedule?)

6/27/22 Submitted application by mail
7/22/22 Received request for livescan by mail
7/25/22 livescan completed
8/08/22 All livescan results complete
11/30/22 Received call to make appt for interview (scheduled for 12/15)
12/15/22 Received call that interview is no longer required
01/20/23 Received approval email
02/04/23 Completed training course, submitted
??/??/23 Awaiting notification of qualification scheduling

By the way, been lurking for ages... thanks for everyone's invaluable posts regarding the process. It's helped immensely to make things as painless as possible.

Can confirm. striker fire, rack your slide.. holster. You don't need to use your safety, if you have one.

Honestly I was standing on the 2nd to right most lane, the RSO never came down that far, I could have left my H&K cocked and wouldn't have been noticed, but that's not how I practiced for the test, and didn't want to press my luck.. So I made sure to decock before each round started. (I'm not advocating not following the rules, I only mentioned so you can envision that it's not someone breathing down your neck every time. It's all quite chill and relaxed.. Be safe, point your gun in the right direction, and you'd be hard pressed to fail.

I'm a union plumber, and when I filled out the application I was in between dispatches, so I left it blank. She was calling to fill out that section.

No answer from Christine and the ccw permits email will only answer questions like “can I add a revolve, I purchased after I already submitted the application”

Thanks Ty, given the apparent lack of progress I was half afraid they had come up with a new list of intrusive questions we had to respond to before they would process.

So I went to CoCo SO today to fill out final paperwork for my permit having qualified at the range almost 1 month ago. Cristina was very pleasant, took my thumbprints, my picture and my check. Told me she will send email when I can come in and pick it up (she offered to mail it but I don't want any more delays). Que Jeopardy! music again (I have it on a loop). Also advised that we have to carry two documents that make up the permit.

My understanding is, you can change/add until qual. The inspected guns are recorded at qual and those will go on your permit.

I dont know the full details, but one guy at my qual shot with 3 guns to decide which two he wanted to carry. I left as he went out for his 3rd round so not sure if RSO just circled the two he passed on or what.
