I’ve painted my cerakoted 870 barrel with a krylon camo kit.

Recently did a friends Argo. Sanded down, acetone with microfiber towel and used a stencil kit. Also hit it with some matte clear coat.

Picked up some alumahyde 2 and brake cleaner to use on a hunting upper. Have a bunch of leftover stencils to use.

All came out looking good. Argo wasn’t sanded or scuffed in some areas (friend didn’t do a good job) on his sections so I went over it a second time.

I have taken a rattle can to several weapons before school classes or hunting trips. When I’ve taken my 870 MMP, I tape over the sights, lay it out in the sun, and give it a coating on both sides. After I’m done with it for that occasion, it gets field stripped, and the paint is cleaned off. I’ve spray painted Glocks, 1911’s, and a few rifles that way. Next summer I’ll be in Arizona, and attending a wedding and BBQ; I’m going to spray paint a 1911 with gold Krylon for that occasion. The comments should be priceless.

Spray paint is great. If camo gets scuffed, it doesn't hurt anything. Easier to touch up, costs 3 bucks instead of 300. I rattle can my hard use stuff often.

I picked up an ultra-cheap Black Friday upper kit, to go along with one of my ultra-cheap lowers, just so I can try rattle can camo. Looks like a fun project!!

I have not been brave enough to do it myself. I do not tend to keep my rifles forever, so I try and protect resale value. But I do own a police trade in that came that way.

This is the only one I've done. It was a few years ago.. I kind of like it. But I think it needs to be a bit darker.
