Used to love SW AirLites with .38 spl. That was before summer of love 2020.

Now it is Glocks. And in trunk is either a Glock with drum mag or a AR pistol like a Sig 556P. In the car cabin, in a netbook bag, it is a Glock with a few 24 round mags. If I had a bigger car I'd go with the 33 rounds. Everything is ball ammo. No ***** ammo. Ball ammo is max penetration. Too bad I can't get Teflon ammo any more.

Nice if you don't live in one of the Democrat Party Socialist Dominated States that limit you magazines to 10 rounds. If Bite-Me-Biden and Kamala Harris have their way it will be the law in ALL the STATES watch and see!.

Hey! That's what I do. Same gun and every thing.

SW 642 with Critical Defense and a speed strip for me.

I carry this when I go out of town in case it gets stolen if I have to lock it up in my safe in my car, so that it's easily replaceable and less "desirable" among the criminal element, as opposed to my P365 or something.

Being a revolver, it also makes a reliable beach gun. Sand in a semi auto usually causes problems.

640 Pro and a 642 are two out of three on my permit. The third is a Shield 9 mm, but the snubbies are the ones I carry the vast majority of the time.

Usual load is Winchester 130 Gr SJHP in 38 sp +P.
Sometimes the 640 Pro gets PPU 125 Gr SJHP in 357 Mag, but those are LOUD even with hearing protection on.

I call it “Noisy Cricket” from Men in Black. I usually carry it inside my waistband in a kydex holster but I could easily carry it in the front pocket of my pants or shorts. It’s a great pistol for clothing where concealment is harder. My regular carry is a 9mm Shield.

Bonded Jacketed Hollow Point Speer .38 Special Gold Dot bullets! Weighing 37.8 oz. there would not be much recoil or recovery time between shots. How would that ring the bad guys chimes especially in states that are limiting magazine capacity in autos to ten rounds?

The study of Tactical Anatomy and shot placement in conjunction with the best ammunition plays a vital role in incapacitation as fast as possible and is not necessarily related to but can result in the mortality of the assaulter in my humble opinion.

Tactical Anatomy is an innovative approach to marksmanship that has begun to revolutionize law enforcement firearms training. ... We train law enforcement officers in the critical anatomic zones of the human body, and how to visualize these vital zones in 3 dimensions from any angle of presentation. This would be especially important with less powerful rounds like the .38 Special.

I have a 627 and it’s a great pistol for revolver competition but you’d need a trailer to carry it anyplace. Not practical at all.

S&W 686 snub

Had my range bag on the ground at qualification and an RO bellowed "whose bag is this?" I answered "that's mine" He bellowed "Did you shoot those .357 magnum rounds during qualification?" I answered "yessir...I did"

"OUTFARKINGSTANDING, most of these pussies use .38" was his reply

I smiled a little... this was back when we had to shoot 72 rounds and it had been a bitch with the 686

"Max penetration"

Then get the Buffalo Bore plus P plus penetrator. Otherwise you're larping.

I open carry when I can and don't have a CCW in CA as I plan to move soon.

I've got a Taurus 85 on my permit. I carry it for those late night runs to Taco Bell or other such after dark activities where I don't feel like putting on my 92fs. Pocket carry, only 5 shots plus the speed loader but it serves its purpose.

My core carry piece is a smith & wesson 940, 9mm stainless j frame with moon clips. Hard to beat the 9mm cartridge reliability mixed with the wheelgun reliability. Snappy compared to a 38, but nicer than a 357 hand bite.

Best PPT I ever nabbed from this site.

Yes but was yours engraved with the California District Attorney Investigator's Association logo?

Just pulling your chain. I don't carry it anymore. 5 rounds of .38 special +P vs 10 rounds of 9mm (basically .38 caliber in metric terms) = no question on carrying my G19. And I LIKE the G42 as well.

Carry a Kimber K6 wheel with 357 freedom seeds. I also carry Ruger LCR in 9.

Wheels leave no brass behind.

Smith & Wesson 638-8 1.875" Revolver. Can shoot +P but kicks like a mule.

Nope. It's a -2 from my Dad. Do the California District Attorney Investigator's Association logo guns come with a non-prosecution indemnification?

I've also shifted to a G19 but with 15rd mags.
