Great Looking Smiths there Jonah! That 5” 460xvr looks familiar!

How do you like shooting her?

Awesome!! Glad to hear it! Considering amount of power behind it, the recoil is amazingly manageable! I found it much more pleasant to shoot then the Ruger Alaskan in .454!

I agree, way more comfortable than any of my 454s have been, my kid put 10 rounds through it and I put about 30 between the Hornady and my reloads. I could have done more but that was all I brought

This is one of my oldest S&W pre-27's. The letter says it was shipped 7-6-1951:

It's been awhile since I posted in this thread. I must admit that the way the new Smiths look with the tapered barrel shrouds kind of leaves me cold. I guess that's why I only try to own those with classic styling and preferably with pinned barrels.

This is the first one of these I've seen. I like it. Looks a lot like a Browning Hi-Power, which I am a fan of. What kind of action does it have? SAO, DA/SA, DAO?

That's DA/SA, safety also work as de-cocker like 92FS.

My Father and I bought two of the RHKP model 10's in the early 90's. Both are almost perfect and I think we only paid $165.00 each. Dang near unfired, with the tiniest amount of holster wear at muzzle. Was one of the few times I was smart enough to jump on a deal...
