Default Fair price for a few pistols? CZ + Colt...

Checking out the broader community on a fair price check for the below pistols... I would need to clear up my safe (and budget) for a new project.
  • CZ SP-01 - With 301-rds down the barrel.
  • CZ Tactical Sport 40 - Never been fired.
  • CZ Shadow 2 Blue - With 800-rds down the barrel.
  • Colt Gold Cup National Match 45 (SKU: O5870A1) - Never been fired.

Thanks in advanced.

$750-$800
$1500-$1600
$2100-$2200
$1600-$1800

Those are market condition prices, I can not opine if they are the 'fair' prices.

There's currently 3 TS .40s up on the market ranging from $1400-$1600 but I think they've all been shot, 2 are cerakoted. I've been in the market for one so I've been keeping an eye on prices. $2000 would be the extremely high end, I'd probably start at $1600 myself.

What caliber is the SP-01?

$1,600 is fair.

The SP-01 is a 9 with the manual safety (no decocker).

Sell it all. Buy Glock. Spend the rest of it on ammo. Be happy. Wait for the zombies.

Anything less than a few thousand rounds on a CZ 75 variant is free break in. In my mind at least, it would not influence the price that i would pay. This is assuming that the pistol has no significant exterior wear.

If you want to sell at 2019 pre-CoVid pricing, sure, that works

Those prices certainly don’t reflect current conditions....not that it’s right...just noting.

Second that^^^

Those are very fair estimations. I would not pay any more for any of them. Perhaps less for the colt, maybe $1450 to 1500.

Default Listing price v Sold price

Those sound like current “market” ASKING PRICES. Who knows if that is what people have actually been getting for those models.

Agree with SkyHawk on all. I wouldn't sell the TS for less than $1500. If doesn't sell hang on to it, people will eventually realize what they are missing out on.

OR

Knock it down to $1,000 and I'll take another

It is not about moving it fast, it is about not taking advantage of the circumstances. Or maybe I am just not entrepreneurial enough? Must be just me...

A CZ Shadow 2 is mostly priced $1,200 in FREE states, and pre-COVID19 - the lowest I have seen was $2,200 here in CA...

That said - I already agreed to meeting a buyer this afternoon at a local FFL.

totally understand. but market price is just that. what the market will pay.

and as far as MSRP (its $1,349.00 from CZ direct). With current world events, no one is selling under MSRP at this point free state or not. But your your valuation and what people forget in the second hand market is taxes on the initial purchase. that $1350 pistol can be 1500-1600 depending on the state and local tax situation.

as with any transaction, as long as you are happy with it its a good one!

Yep...Calgunners always lowball prices if you ask them what something is worth....it happens all the time. They give you prices that they would happily pay, hoping you’ll sell it for that. Nothing wrong with that, but a seller should know that.

Truth be said....as neuromorph alludes to....I don’t think there’s been a blue S2 that’s sold for that cheap all year

I wanna thank you for being considerate of the situation and its attitudes like yours that are going to help stabilize the sudden surge of price gouging.

There's no sense selling it for a low enough price where someone is going to buy it just to immediately flip it. You might as well make the money. It's the same thing as selling ammo or reloading components right now. If a shooting buddy needed some powder or primers to be able to keep shooting matches I could help him out. But I'm not selling them to someone to flip. I can do that myself.

Agreed, thats why i review buyers F/S threads before selling any items. I do not sell items to serial gougers, or OOS resellers.

Yes, it is a beautiful gun... And looking forward to the new owner shooting it! (and maybe get him into action shooting, as well)

Thank you! Yeah, I guess it's just me... I don't really care how people do their lives - but I do care how I conduct mine.

Right now during this pandemic, I am fortunate to have a good enough paying job that pays that still allows me to enjoy my interests while providing to my wife and two kids without any hardship. It may be crazy busy lately with some 16-hr days and working over weekends - but who are we to complain?

No sense for me to take advantage of others...

I sold a G34 Gen 3 to a colleague (new gun owner) during the start of the pandemic riots and gun/ammo run. It had about 2K rounds the pipe. I sold it to him for $550.

Not only the 2A community got a convert, there was the potential for bringing someone new to the sport.

That said, to others in general... I may have sold a CZ Shadow 2 for a very low price... But how does one know that I have not made money on it (disclaimer: I am not LEO...)? Or how about the relationship gained in that transaction could somehow benefit me in the future?

Better yet, how does one know that I may only be paying forward the generosity given to me in a previous transaction (outside the CalGuns Marketplace)...?

You're not selling TP or water or something that people need. Put any price you want. Nobody is going to pay it if it's "too high". But if you put a low price on something just to be nice to someone you don't know, you're just being a sucker.

Why not just sell it at full current market value, and if you have qualms about having sold it for too much you can always donate that evil excessive money to a worthy charity or cause?

I am still waiting for my GSSF coupon to get the G20SF to pair up with my G21SF...

Yeah - probably a sucker...

Then again, I am not so desperate to make a fuss over not making more than a hundred bucks' profit over a simple handgun... At least in this instance.

It was already sold the immediate morning after I posted in the evening.

That said, I already donate to organizations in my alma mater that sponsors well-deserving kids through university.

I just bought a CZ SP-01 the first week of November this year. The price was $899.99 before taxes, DOJ fee and dealer fee from my LGS, in Northern CA.
They also had a CZ TS in .40 for $1799.99. I bought the 9mm version for the same price a few months ago.
FYI

Thanks for the FYI. I’ll make a note of this as I’m drafting my new WTS. Much appreciated.

I was told that up North prices are much steeper...
