Default Anyone from Northern Cali? specifically San Francisco area

Hey folks,

I'm a fellow leo down in socal Orange County. I am flying up to San Francisco to propose to my girl this Friday. So far the plan is to pop the question at the Golden Gate... "i'm not too creative"

I checked the weather online about 20 times but weather.com failed me more than I can count. For anyone up in SF can you tell me what the current weather is like?

Also if anyone has a better location I could use as a last minute change.

thanks ! God Bless and stay safe.

-J

Temp says 63..
just know that at the Golden Gate it will be windy and at times the wind is chilling.
If you plan on doing the proposal do it on the Marin side this way SF is your backdrop.

Bring a jacket as the weather is unpredictable.

Good luck!

Its pretty sunny and clear for the next few days out.
Windy and cold most of the time at GG. Fog rolls in from time to time as well.
Cheers and good luck!

(if you need over watch please send me a PM.... )

Need some photos taken? And current weather is sunny and nice. Slightly windy out in that area but looks clear

Forecast for the north end of the bridge.

And, I hope both of you enjoy the event!

I don't think I'd go with the bridge, too much tourist traffic parking is a major PIA. In no particular order Muir Wood's, Mt. Tamalpais, top of Mt. Diablo (amazing view if the weather is good, and it should be) Point Bonita Lighthouse, Palace of Fine Art's.

My nod also goes to Mt. Tamalpais or Diablo. The views are good and you avoid the bulk of the crowds, however if you choose to do the bridge coordinate it with somebody to film you as you are walking with her across the span. Stumble and fall to the ground and recover to a knee with a ring in your hand. She will always think about it whenever she sees the bridge in person or on the screen. Or, take a ferry to Alcatraz. It is scenic and historic. Pop the question on the island and the boat ride back will be far different than the one you took to the island. (good lord, did I just put this on a gun site?!)

Good luck!

Mt Tam is great. I've not been to Mt. Diablo, Pt Bonita Lighthouse, but have heard amazing things--Palace of Fine Arts is also great.

The GG bridge is definitely beautiful. But its cold. I've been out there when the weather says 75 degrees in other parts of SF. And the wind chill factor drops your body temperature to like, sub 60, especially if you're from LA/SoCal.

Marin Headlands or Baker Beach probably offer the best views. Check them out.

You should be fine in the middle of the day at the lookout point on the north side of the bridge (there's an exit right after the bridge). There's a big parking lot that does get busy, but mid-day on a week day( during working hours) I usually don't have a problem parking there. Sweeping views of the bridge and the city. Bring a photographer! Good luck.
