Default sdpd range

anyone have any info regarding the closing of the civilian section at the sdpd range? there is a sign dated sept 1st that they have closed due to "reorganizing."

Yep.
I got a text from Dan the window guy. He said that it is reorganizing. I also contacted another friend there and he said that they could not make enough money, so are going to try running it with volunteers. Hopeful to reopen soon though according to him 9/12/18.
Its a great range to shoot outdoors, not busy, but has 40 line positions with only 8-10 peeps there on Saturday mornings. 25 yards only scares a lot of folks off I guess.

Thatís too bad, I used to shoot there a lot.
Itís never crowded. I guess most people prefer indoor ranges where you can shoot the target 6 feet away.

Or maybe people dont want to be around careless government employees while shooting.

So, you've seen this....I have NEVER seen this in the 40 year going there.

The lady at the window would be Lori, she is simply attempting to do her job, albeit a little rough at times.

I just got word that something is happening, but I haven't heard exactly what yet.
My source tells me that we should be looking for operating hours soon, but the actual manager has yet to answer my text from earlier this evening.
As soon as I find out and am at my computer, I will let you know.

The 'window guy' text me yesterday with news that the SDPD Range will be open today, Thursday 9/20, Friday 9/21, Saturday 9/22 and Sunday 9/23. There is no word on if it will be open next weekend yet though.
Keep ya posted.

Yep. I think the place is well run otherwise. It's safe and if closer I'd be there all the time.
