Sure.

If and only if you have the ammo delivered to a CA FFL, and pay the fee that business will charge for the service.

Or if you have an FFL03 and COE. Then you can have the ammo delivered right to your doorstep with no fee.

Basically yes, but in practice no without an 03.

Itís easier to just buy it in state (and after fees and all cheaper too)

Iíve yet to see it cheaper in state at any LGS or big store (Bass, Sportsmanís Wharehouse) than you can get online even after factoring in the ffl and coe.

Agreed. One big tax-free order online more than pays for the FFL03 and COE, and then it’s all gravy after that.

Not talking about 03/COE. I talking about ordering at a great price, shipping to an ffl, paying ffl service fee and or storage fee, and sales tax.

I receive ammo about every day now for people. Probably helps that I don't charge a service fee though lol.

OP-Post your city/county and I'm sure other Calgunners will chime in and let you know of any local shops that will accommodate you at no or minimal fee. There is a shop up near the Napa/Sonoma area that will do this as well as others in the Bay Area.

and when possible I try to just price match their online prices so you don't even have to order it, I've been starting to stock a lot more ammo and house

If you plan on shooting 1500 dollars or more worth of ammo a year then it is worth it to get a certificate of eligibility and FFL 3. For the cost of those two things (about 105 bucks) you get ammo at prices no brick and mortar store can offer. For example your typical store here in California might sell 556 (62 gr) penetrator ammo at around 33 cents a round. 1000 round case will be 330 dollars with about 25 dollars tax give or take for a total of 355 dollars which is a decent deal if you can find that. I can get it delivered to my door tax free for 275 dollars which IMHO is insane.

YES! Gunfighter Tactical here in San Diego does it for FREE! Just pay the 7 1/2% tax and go pick it up. They even have the forms ready to send off to the sellers on line.

They will provide this free service as long as they can only to stick a finger into Jerry Brown's @ss.
