ive been here a few years now and never figured out what bbl means. basic barrel length? no idea. i know it involves a barrel of some sort.

I'm aware it has something to do with AR-15s and maybe their 'lowers' but what exactly and does it apply to AR-10 and other calibers of ARs?

I just like the one that may apply to all of us soon:

When TEOTWAWKI happens, you will need to GOOD ( get out of dodge).

Then, you would need a BOV... bug out vehicle...

and of course, your firearms. Which during that time, would be worth more than gold or money .

Internet - " all designations refer to the uppers, the A1 fielded in vietnam had a triangular handgaurd a 1:12 tiwsit a light barrel and was an utter failure. the A2 has a heavy barrel a 1:7 twist circular handguards and the usual non-detachable carry handle and front sight. the A3 is the A2 with a detachable carry handle over a pictanny rail. now the A4 is the A3 with a removable front sight over a pic rail also."
