I am planning on coming. Please note it is your chapter. Just want to help and answer questions if needed. Oh I do intend to eat. Make reservations for more people than you expect. Easier to accommodate less at the last .minute than more.

If there are issues with accommodations at the Heritage place. May I suggest a meeting place.
Dominick's Pizza House 24209 Avalon Blvd Carson, CA 90745 (310) 834-8990 The best Pizza and Italian food you ever had at a pizza joint. I was weened on this place. They have an outdoor enclosed patio area that would be a perfect place to hold a meet and greet and it has a maximum of 40 seating capacity in the patio which would be more than enough. And they have beer on tap for those who wish to drink. You can reserve the patio and it has doors that close it off from the rest of the restaurant so it will be more private and quieter I believe. Just a thought.....

Mods, Why isn't this a sticky yet?
I see that the L.A. Chapter and the Ventura Chapter have their own sticky, but not the LBC, with over double the posts of either other chapter. I don't understand the concept. Is it only if someone petitions you to sticky? Do you have something against the L.B. Chapter? What's the problem here? Do you not like Snoop or Rage? Just trying to understand. John

How about this, what do you plan to reload? What is your goal when you start to reload? More accurate ammo? "Cheaper" ammo? Build a supply? Reload for oddball calibers?

Id like everyone that hasnt reloaded before that plans on joining a class to answer these questions. So we can all get a feel for the class and what it needs to be like.

223, 308, 40s&w 7mm mag
I have the die for all 4 I want to load 223 in mass for my ar's which as I understand requires very high standards so they will cycle properly. Full lenth sizing, trimming ect. I have shot a lot of neck sized 7mm and 308 that seeted out to the rifleing and it is very accurate but I not sure about all that custom twicking or that I am ready for all that. I have talked about it a lot and have stuff but have no really experience. |

My goal when I start to reload is .45 ACP and .223. I am hoping to "learn" on these calibers and then keep moving forward. I consider these the "basics" of reloading and feel if I can master these, then the rest should not be a problem. If I am wrong, some one please chime in and tell me so. I want to do this the right way. The reason I want to start reloading is cost, and availability of certain calibers, and also to to keep a "surplus inventory" in case things go sideways. Also, I feel that the skill I will be learning will be invaluable if things do go "sideways" and I have a stock of components. Many of the firearms I have and enjoy shooting are in calibers that are either very hard to find, or when you do find them are prohibitively expensive, or both. Eventually, I want to be able to load for: .223, .39 Carbine, 30-06, 30-30, 7.62X39, 7.62x51(.308), 762x54, .32 H&R Mag., .38 Special, .357 Mag, 9mm, .38-40, .40 S&W, .41 Mag, .44-40, .44 Special, .44 mag, .45 LC, .45-70, and maybe even .50 Beowulf if I get a hair up my butt and buy another upper. A tall order, I know, but it will be very gradual as I progress through the calibers and my funds allow. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. John

what do you plan to reload? My hunting calibers to start 7 mm Rem Mag and .223 and then C&R military surplus rounds What is your goal when you start to reload? It would be accuracy, cost, oddball, and supply in that order of importance. My savings would be a bit more too since I plan on reloading non lead ammunition. There is a big price difference between lead and non lead hunting rounds.

![]() trust me, I am loading 223 for 20-25 cents per round... I'm shooting at a much higher ratio than if I was to buy factory ammo ![]() that's why this is a hobby for me and now just a money saving investment plus reloading is really relaxing

Hell, I can reload 7.5 Swiss, .308, 30-06, etc. for less than 10 cents a round using surplus powder, cheap primers and 109gr frangible surplus bullets that I stocked up on last year for 3-4 cents a piece.
