I haven't checked out the LA/OC loading/chapter/get together but how does this all work??

Get together, buy some equipment, learn how to use it, and get together and load up some ammo every few weeks or something?

Or is this just more of a this is what you need and do type deal if you wanna do it on your own?

Each chapter is going to run a bit differently but, overall, there are several goals. Education and classes, group buys and club owned loaner equipment are among the top priorities for the ................. look, shiny object.................

I would personally start with a single stage just to get the concept down
a Dillion 650 is a progressive and there's a lot of things going all at once I messed up my first few loads on my friends Hornady progressive especially with the priming i keep forgetting to reset the ram to the end.

Colt, we should start getting a clinic going on soon?

Go with an rcbs rock chucker kit first. Best money spent. Then watch colt and I argue over dillon (him) and hornady (me) then decide which one you want lol

You also have other options as well. Don't let me convince you those are the only options.

Or a Lee Classic Cast Turret Press (by itself or in a kit). Can't go wrong for the price.

I would be interested in joining/helping the group. I've been reloading for just over 2 years, about 10K rounds loaded so far all on a Lee turret press. 9MM, 38, 45 and 30 cal carbine so far.

I'm also an accountant so Excel and I get along if you need help in that area or in setup or take down.

I'll always take brass, but do not want to be greedy.

I can trade some 40 brass for it and donate it to the class if that would be helpful.

I don't own any guns that shoot those calibers
how about this, I'll give you the brass and you donate the 40 s&w to our first reloading clinic?

I do, 2400, H110, 296 but my favorite is Lil' Gun... great velocity with much lower pressures as per Hodgdons data.

Nope, BLM perris, it was hot but we had plenty of cloud breaks and I went early so wasn't bad at all.

I sighted my Walmart scope also, still holding zero

For a 158 grain 357 mag load, how much powder are you.loading with H110, and 296

I'm at 7 gr for unique
And 14gr for 2400
Both loades with a plated bullet and standard small pistol primer

I can donate some powder and primer for the class I have 357 bullets and powder only though ran out of H335.

I am very interested in joining/being a part of this club. Sundays also work best for me as that is my only day off of work usually.

I have zero experience with reloading and I want to change that. I was going to go to the OC club but this is much closer as I live off of Cherry and Anaheim.

I will help out any way I can; I use Excel daily at my job but not real familiar with the various formulas. I can also do heavy lifting/set up /tear down.

John
