Yeah, based on your previous schedule you were setting up, June is prolly best...

THAT or we can do it in may, but I would provide the air presses and air powder and air primers and air shells so everyone would have to be really good at pantomiming. Well, that or I can get a guy who works at the circus and he can certify everyone in being a mime that day...

Default Does powder go bad?

Hi everyone:

Helped my bro get all the Dillon reloading equipment out of his shed today. He hasn't used it in 11-12 years and is letting me borrow his Dillon 550 indefinitely. When we opened up all his stuff he had a 1lb canister of Winchester WST1 powder unopened. Here's a pic:

2014-04-29 21.21.33.jpg

The canister is still sealed, but it is 11-12 years old. It's been stored in a dry place, but he lives in the Phoenix area where there's little such thing as a cool place. Is this still fine to reload 9mm with, or should I be concerned with the age of this?

There is a very good chance it is fine. Look for rusty color deterioration and a foul smell for issues.

I'd be in for this. I have most of the reloading equipment, read a lot of text, but never reloaded a round (can't find powder).

I finally have all the components and my bros press. Went by Dillon on my way outta the Phoenix area and picked up a strong mount along with a spare parts kit and a few other tidbits.

I will be ready to start reloading after I rearrange my garage and/or build a new bench!

Now that I have it, I realize I need to reconfigure stuff!

Oh, I still need to get a (digital?) caliper and a bullet puller (just in case). Any advice on these two?

I was going to get a dial caliper from Grafs but it was sold out at the time. I just took a coupon to Harbor Freight for their $10 caliper & it's been working. I like my Lyman inertia puller.

I have exactly the same two items! No issues with the HF digital calipers and I compared them against expensive analog ones from my workplace. The Lyman (I think they are almost all made by the same company) inertia puller has a universal shell holder.

Leave it at home that day. Lately, I just have not been myself and would feel bad if an accident happened and there was a poor dillon press laying in a million pieces in my driveway... And EVERYONE would point the finger at ME for NO reason in particular I am sure...

What I told you in PM still stands though. all joking aside. OR come to the clinic and have fun fun fun...

So is there a date set for another IE workshop? I'm more or less committed to the one in Valencia but if I knew now about one out my way I'd consider backing out of the other one. Just don't want to bail last minute.

We are working for one in June.

We just helped Ventura last month, did our own last Sunday. And taking tho show to San Diego on the 18th.

Well, as it is I'm good with the Valencia date of June 22. If the one in the 9bro9 is on the same day I'll go to that instead. If it's another date I'll stick with the Valencia location.

Perhaps you should start an IM list for all those interested.

Haha I know you are. I just got off the phone with bronco in preparing for San Diego's class. Once we have all the things settled and ready to go for them, we will take a look at our schedules and get with stilly to see what date we can make happen for the IE.

June 1st is Ventura one, June 15th is Father's Day, and the 22nd is the LA one. The 29th might be a good option for us, but we will work it out soon.

Looks like my Sundays are taken this entire month.

Hi everyone!

It's almost June and I am ready to start soaking up the knowledge! Has a firm date been set yet?

Who is the Oaktree gun club? Did they post an ad in here under the guise of powder availability?

They need to be kicked out...

Since I see no such ad, I assume the ad you mention was deleted by the mods.

I am sure Stilly would have been chivalrous and taken the ban for Bumslie if he had only known.

Stilly?

Would you have fallen on the sword for Bumslie?

Hell no. I make it a point to stay from bald guys's swords...

But that oakttree gun club is a CANCER. We need to cure them...

So like, why didn't the mods pull that ad out of the thread?

Something aint right here. I know this is Kest's place and all, but this situation is like, well you know when you go to a park that has a structure like a makeshift fort or just TWO walls joined somewhere in the middle where the kids can go and play? And when you go to that joint it smells like piss? Yeah, that thread stinks like that if the mods do not remove that ad... I have heard GOOD things about kestryl but if this **** don;t get fixed then I am gonna have to rethink what I heard and maybe I mis-heard something...

It's all good. Kestryl has picked the right folks to be mods and I don't care who disagrees with me. I was starting to think that I was going crazy cause I was gonna go back and edit my post and get some more **** talking in there but looks like this all accomplished something... Thorn removed. I can not find anything offensive to talk smack about.

Its all good... Just call Saul...

A suggestion...

Why don't we all just stop talking about oaktee?

After all, we're giving them free press they don't deserve!
