Sorry, I'm not sure I understand the comment. Do we have information to update on the rangemap link I maintain? If so, is it just the classification of range type?

When I go to the link you sent I'm confused if it's still active.

I also don't see too much information about range hours, public range days, on the website. Is it a private club/range?

Yes the Swiss Rifle Club is private and you must be of Swiss heritage to even be considered for membership. I believe the comment you are trying to interpret is referencing it's distance from the bay area and proximity to BLM land.

Ammunition Supply Point in Vacaville is now closed. They moved and the new location does not include a range.

Anyone know of a range or other legal/safe place to shoot remotely close to the Bay Area that is still open? I had been heading down to the BLM land near Los Banos, but that is now closed as of yesterday for fire season.

My buddy was shooting at North Cow Mountain last week. I haven't been there myself. Look under the wine country chapter for some more info. I may try to get out in a couple of weeks. Drove by Circle S in Tomales yesterday and they are closed. Good luck!

According to their websites, Milpitas - Target Masters and Chabot Gun Club have both closed their doors permanently. Pretty soon the only place I will have to shoot is inside my own apartment.

yes they have both been shut down - TM was probably a good thing but it still sucks about Chabot... Davis street is still open
