Vicka says it was because she was carrying us

We had a great time, and it was nice to meet you all.

Great to see all the old faces and meet some new ones. Thanks again for everyone's hard work! It goes to show that a few people with a lot of hard work can make a huge difference. See everyone next time!

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that I am retiring from co-coordinating the Glass Factory clean ups. Between work, travel plans and family, I realize I cannot continue in my role. It has been a fun four years and we have removed well over 45 tons of trash! Therefore, we are looking for someone, or a group of volunteers, to take charge of the clean up and the Glass Factory Facebook page. If the Glass Factory clean up does not continue, if a team does not form to keep active with all of the behind the scenes politics of keeping the area open, the Forest Service is closing it permanently by this Summer, probably, so it's up to you if you want to see the range kept open enough to step up to to plate and do something about it.

If you are interested, message me so we can talk or you can PM SoCalMountainMan who runs the Facebook page for the Glass Factory and has co-coordinated the clean ups with me for the past few years. https://www.facebook.com/The-Glass-F...41468/?fref=ts

Well done capy. Regardless what happens in future, you, socalmm, gtturbo and others have done a helluva job and service to our little community.

Kudos.

Thanks readysetgo! I hope that some people care enough about this magnificent place to take it over.

Anyone looking at taking this on?
Anybody on the fence?
How about a few rather than one person doing it all?
A Glass Factory Committee?

Vick

Just checked back in here for the memories, been five years. Man, we had some great times shooting and cleaning up up there. Really miss shooting and meeting new people at the Glass Factory! The bastards won.

RIP Free public shooting ranges in California.
