Hello all! Long time lurker that finally joined, been gaining a lot of info from the site and hopefully I can give back in some way... I even convinced my wife to get her first gun ( Sig 9mm) and pursue her CCW also!
I'm into woodworking, photography and the outdoors in general.

New Member Introduction
Hello Everyone,
I haven't provided a formal introduction. I am a new firearms owner in California. You guys may have seen some of my posts regarding my passiveness for using firearms on people in California. Or my craziness in servicing/fixing/maintaining my Walther P22 CA. Or my craziness in upgrading/fixing/maintaining my S&W M&P 15-22 on other forums. My story is that I used to race cars at sanctioned events. I raced in rallycross, autocross, and HPDE events all across California, including a full day at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. What happened was that I lost $18,000 due to a car that I was racing that broke down in the end. I settled that liability for $10,000 and needed a cheap hobby to satisfy my craving for something enjoyable to do. So I thought shooting firearms at paper targets was the thing to do. I hope to learn more from these forums and at competitive rifle/pistol matches in California. Originally, my decision to purchase a firearm was not with that intent. But I have decided in the end to just keep it as a hobby and collector's hobby. Some of my firearms choices came and were motivated by my choice pistol/rifle's in CS:GO. Also I don't own a karambit in CS:GO, and was amazed at how easy it is to get one in real life to add to my collection. Given that they cost $500 in the game on the Steam Market. I am also waiting for a $18 shipped Karambit style knife to come to lock with my rifle at home. I hope to learn more from the others in the forum and appreciate the advice I have already received.
