Hey folks,
I have been an avid reader of this forum since I bought my first firearm at the age of 18, learning how to use my unissued-condition 91/30 I bought for $79 (man, 2006 was a different time) from your accumulated knowledge. I want both to introduce myself, and to say thanks for all I have learned over the last almost-17 years. My day-job is law, having graduated from UNC Law (native of NC), and being a member of the bars of VA, NC, and MD (soon to add WV and WY as well). I was chief of staff to a Federal Appeals Court Judge out of law school, worked in big law for a while, and now run my own practice doing small arms design and ITAR compliance, as well as wills, trusts, and estates. I did part of my undergraduate and law school work at Peking University, where I met my wife, and I also worked as a Chinese-English interpreter and document translator in China in my 20s before law school. I have been a hoplophile and generally have gravitated towards firearms since I was a little kid - much to the horror of my exceedingly left-wing parents - and am lucky enough to have married a very conservative small-town girl from China who is about as country (Chris LeDoux is literally the only artist to whom she will listen) as one can be, and takes to American life like a fish to water. We chase this fish across Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, and I am particularly proud that my wife holds the IGFA Women's 2lb line class world record for it (as well as for Cutthroat Trout and Bull Trout), and my daughter holds the IGFA Small Fry Girl's world record for it. Selling First Firearm
Hi, very glad to be here. I hope this gets read as the last post here was in 2007. Is there a step by step on selling your first firearm? I've scoured the ATF site and even youtube thinking surly someone has created a "How To" video on selling your first firearm as a new FFL in CA but I haven't easily found it. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Hey, just want to introduce myself.
Reddit CA/CCW discussion brought me here. If any of you Bay Area folk remember the OG Old West Gun Room and Dangerous Dave Cumberland. I worked for him as a young man, forever instilling gun powder in my veins. He sold me my first hangun, a Series 70 Colt, which I still own and shoot to this day. Although Wilson Combat has done some modifications a few years ago. Anyway, I'm mainly here to follow and contribute to the CC County CCW and 1911 forums. Hello Folks,
New member here. Long time CA resident, transplant from Kentucky (hence Kentucky Dave / kydave ). Life NRA, USPSA, CA P.O.S.T. Certified, Degree in Administration of Justice, Degree in Law, learned to shoot in Junior NRA in a brick warehouse range in downtown Louisville in the 50s and never stopped shooting. I just put a post in the legal question section about a subject that very possibly has already come up here, but I thought I'd look for input. Post has to do with "A grip that allows for a pistol style grasp forward of the trigger" and if a stout leather sling in the same position as that grip would be might circumvent running afoul of accidently turning a benign Ruger PC Carbine into a dreaded assault weapon. Thanks & looking forward to learning and perhaps contributing.
