Morning all and thanks for the nod. I'm no where close to most of you but since I enjoy shooting and reloading I belong to a couple of different sites.
I have a Lyman DPS II that I was trying to find a power cord for. When I did the google thing a thread popped up here so after reading it and looking around I decided to sign on up. I look forward to hanging out more in your reloading area.
I'm an avid shooter, reloader and now that the kids are getting older it's a real pleasure to have them in there dumping powder and getting to spend some quality time with them rather than them in their Iphones and laptops.
I mainly hang my hat at handloadersbench.com where I'm a Board Founder but I love to read and learn so like I said I'm on a few other boards as well, all under the same user name as here.
Once again thanks for having me and I look forward to being part of community.

Hello. I haven't logged into Calguns in awhile. I feel new again. So Just wanted to say I'm back and will probably be on more. I wanted to read about people's opinions on the new law about buying ammo in CA.

Also my new GF of two years well, I will finally be taking her to shoot for the first time this weekend. Probably rent an M&P Shield 9mm.

Far as me, I'm probably going to be looking for a new/used handgun for concealed carry. My last log on I was almost going to buy a Springfield XDm .45

Hello All,

I live in the Bay Area (for now). Married to a wonderful lady and three step-sons; two of which plan to join the Navy when they graduate from High school. My hobbies are anything construction related (I guess that’s my professional life too), anything with a motor (old and new Harley’s are my current hang up), garage machinist and whatever task my wife throws my way....I’m a jack of all trades, master of none. Which has lead me here.

I’ve owned a few rifles over the years. Assembled an AR for fun and most recently two 80% 1911.

I’ve finally been issued SN and now I’m looking for someone in the Bay Area who can properly engrave everything for me. They don’t give you much time to get it done! 🤔

Look forward to learning from those of you who have been around the block on all this stuff.

I’ll either make a post regarding engraving or find one that has current discussions to chime in on.

Hey everyone- new here.

Have owned a 9mm Springfield XD for several months but needed some place to come for all my questions (especially with CA's super confusing laws!) about my AR15 that's soon to be here.

Good morning. I learned of Calguns online just today. I've had a Springfield Armory XD9 for about 2y now and recently acquired a Hi-Point 995TS. As I am new to carbines and the like (new to pretty much everything firearm I'd say) I am looking for guidance and advise to keep within CA guidelines.

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hi :-)

New to guns actually as well, I started shooting about a year ago. Started because my son joined the Marine Corps and he had also never shot a gun so we figured would be a good idea to take some classes and shoot some firearms.

Since then he has graduated bootcamp and SOI earning the Marksman badge, and I have acquired 2 handguns and a rifle and am currently awaiting approval of my CCW packet from Placer County (all requirements are in).

Anyhow -- hi everyone :-)
