Starting point is you cannot buy them from out of state unless they are on the Roster or are C&R.

Not my area so:

There are a few exceptions so please ask.

Probably best to ask under "California Handguns" I think.

Good luck.

Edit:

Also, you may want to put up a Want To Buy (WTB) ad here, but I am not sure how rare these are.

Hi! I'm a long-time lurker, but I never had anything significant to add to the conversation so I never registered. I would usually link to calguns from other gun forums (especially to the picture threads).

Anyway, I recently won Ballistic Advantage's monthly rifle giveaway. It puts my two A2 rifles to shame and has re-energized my enthusiasm for shooting sports!
Now, I'm about to purchase my first rifle scope to match the rifle's accuracy potential.
I'm considering a Vortex Crossfire II 1-4x24 and an Aero Precision ultralight 30mm mount. Aero is BA's partner company, so it makes sense

I've also gotten motivated to organize and clear out my gun storage. Which brings me to the ultimate reason I registered for this forum today. I have a pair of brand new OEM Glock 19 10 round magazines for sale. 10 round magazines don't do me much good in Texas. I have perfect eBay and Paypal feedback (verified since 1999). I will wait to start a for sale thread until I check for WTB threads. I would also like confirmation that selling and shipping 10-round magazines to California is completely within the law.

Thanks, guys!

Welcome TexasRed.

10 rounders should not be a problem.

Fair warning:
People here will still be cautious with a new guy selling anything.
Nothing personal y'all. (My wife is from Vernon, TX.)

That's completely understandable.

BTW, it's not often I see the correct spelling of "y'all".

I was even told the secret Texan difference between "y'all" and "all y'all".

Greetings,

I would like to start off that I am new to firearms. I have lived in Southern California my whole life and with these new laws that have been recently passed I Would like to use my 2nd amendment right. Through this site and these forms I hope that I can get the proper guidance to building my first and only rifle in California. Thank you for reading this and I hope to get some input form this community.

Welcome Kimberman

Check our Marketplace for ads.

Also, put up a Want To Buy (WTB) ad in that section.

Good luck.

Welcome.

Post the ad up in the marketplace forum for long guns.
Please read and follow the rules.
In particular, don't threadcrap unless you want to get banned from the Marketplace.
Pics and a description always helpful.

To buy, check the sales forums and maybe put up a want to buy (WTB) ad.

Good luck.

All:

As a new member, I'm having a few "navigational" difficulties. Are there handguns for sale, notwithstanding that such a transaction, in California, would have to involve a federally licensed dealer?

Hi. I'm new to Calguns.

I joined because I appreciated the useful information in the LEO Forum, and had some questions, as I am considering a career change to Ranger or Game Warden.

It's been a long time since I've been shooting, but I am liking the idea of having an "excuse" to go to the range.

heller,
new member here. I have browsed the calguns forum for a few years. Finally joined so i can try and sell my competition glock on the marketplace. I have found this site helpful in the past when trying to find a reputable cerakoter and info on best local ammo deals etc. There's something about living in California and loving guns that well..makes it difficult lol. Anyway, i'm a housewife that has been addicted to guns since my husband made me buy one for home defense. Ironically he does not shoot with me. I have acquired a few guns over the years including several glocks, sw mp sport 15, and mossburg 500. i now have my "sights" on the beautiful sig p226. next i want a 1911, then another AR (before I can't buy one), then a mag 357, then...the addiction never ends.

Hi,
My name is Gene, and I have black rifle disease! I'm also working on contracting FDE and ODG rifle disease too. I learned to shoot in High school in JROTC- my school had a rifle range in the basement. I also had 30 mins. of instruction at boot camp in the Navy-lol.

Over the last 30 years I shot occasionally with family and friends, and never really was interested until a few months ago- but I always wanted to get back into firearms. A friend who does competition shooting suggested I start with a Spike's tactical assembled upper and a stripped lower, and he helped me order the parts. He wasn't available to help me assemble it, so I watched some Youtube videos and built it myself-lol (I've built Detroit V-8's for 25+ years, so it wasn't as hard for me as a noob with no skills with tools).

My first built turned out so well I decided to build another one, this time using a PSA assembled upper- I used a Spikes lower, LPK, buffer kit, Magpul furniture, AFG-2 and a Midwest Industries quad rail. I'm now looking for a .308 semi-auto rifle- looking for a good deal on a CA compliant Sig 716 Patrol in FDE.

Geno
