Thank you for the correction. I just looked it up myself. I'd hate to see anyone on here get in trouble.
Very nice rifle by the way. I have a polish underfolder kit that I have been trying to decide which direction to take myself. |

This is a reincarnation of a rifle I've posted before, I got bored while babysitting the kids today so I made up a 10/30 mag from a replacement body I had in the shop and made this one a fixed mag. Not sure whether I like the front grip or not yet.

The promag bipod is junk.
Sammy invest in an all steel bipod instead of one with plastic feet. Youll be happy you did. I got both of mine from sellers on hkpro for about 140 each. Gordon Miller (hkspecialist.net) sells new ones, but they are expen$ive.

I had a Promag too. Compared to the HK unit, well....there is no comparison.
Just my opinion.

With the trunnion mount bipod, you can only run the slim grip.

Have any of you guys tried to make a magazine that can be load trough the back of the mag...sort of like what atlantic has on their "CA legal ak's?" I'm thinking it might work.

How would you make it not take more than 10 rounds? If you are able to depress the follower and spring far enough to be able to insert 10 rounds in the back there is still going to be a portion of the mag that is up in the gun that is more than enough for a round or 2 to fit.So if you put 10 in the back more than likely you could still load one or 2 more through the ejection port. This is a question that Atlantic never answered.Does anyone have one of the Atlantic CA legal AKs?See if you can load any extra rounds through the ejection port after the 10 in the back.

I was actually thinking about this for HK rifles, I tried something with an aluminum mag, but it was way too flimsy. I'm trying to acquire some steel tubes to play with now, hopefully they'll be a bit sturdier than the aluminum mags.
To answer the 10 round question, the mag would be blocked to hold 10 rounds total, so realistically, you could prolly load 8 or 9 from the hole, and maybe the 10th through the ejection port.

![]() Top to bottom: HK911, HK SR9 project, PTR91KA4, Vector V93 (I know, it has no business in the 7.62 thread) USP45, HK4. At right are 2 new PTR receivers. All rifles 10 round mag and rorschach lock-equipped.

Does this count as a 7.62?? It's .30 cal, self loading, and PRK legal
![]() Mid-1943 Winchester M1 Garand. I like to think maybe it fought it's way ashore on Tarawa or Iwo, or maybe tore across Europe from Normandie to the Bulge, or maybe even Inchon or the Chosin Reservior. I'll never know.
