The SR25 carbines are very nice indeed. At the end of that class, I was talking with Chris when he realized he had some 308 ammo left over. He handed me the SR25 and two 20 round PMAGs and asked me to get rid of them for him... Didn't have to ask me twice. That thing ran like a dream, with a really nice trigger and surprisingly little muzzle clime most likely due to the KAC brake. Being 308 recoil was definitely there, but manageable. I still don't know if I can justify the (roughly) $7K price tag though. That is a LOT of greenbacks.

I already want one and you're making it worst! HAHA! I would love to try one out and the reviews out there have been nothing but great except for the cost to own one. But damn, $7k! I always thought it was around $5k. Good thing is, I'm not the type to buy a ton of guns. But I will buy quality, even though it may take me longer to own one... Damn I want one!

I got that price from a post on another forum by an employee of KAC. See below. Keep in mind I would not be surprised if the prices have since dropped.

Yes they are high, however those prices are less than our earlier dealer prices.

Damn that's way far forward for an optic. What's the function of having it that far forward?

it's an offset mount, so it's easier to use forward like that when the rifle is canted.

I think he's saying it's a little weird that it's that far forward, not the off-set position.

I thought it was a little weird too, as most of the time you see the off-set optic on the 3-gun rifles setup just forward of the main optic.

But I do really like that off-set mount and the T-1/H-1 regular rail mount. Might just get me off my LaRue lust!!

Just finished putting this upper together today... Finally got to use the triple tap I had laying around. Can't wait to get that SR15E3 upper from you Jerry. I had to sell off 3 uppers to fund it.

a KAC SR-15 lower that did not have the SR-15 marking on it? yes, details please. do you know if it is the current production lower with the ambi-bolt catch, ambi-mag release, and built in QD sockets? or was it the older no frills type?

Here is the only KAC item i own. I have the ambi-selector in the mail, and am in search of a KAC 2 stage trigger. Plus am saving my pennies for the SR-15 E3 upper!

I'd be willing to pay top $ for a 80% KAC-styled stripped lower too

It was an older one....looks like it had a bunch of rounds threw it. Looked legit but didn't have SR-15 anywhere. The guy got it from someone out of state and they called before shipping it. Had all the Stoner markings.

They are out there ***hum x-files theme***
