Just set this up about a week ago. Not quite finished because I don't have all of the equipment yet. But I'm working on it.

The accessory plate is nice. With my load-all I used heli-coils reenforced with wood glue in the top and it seems to work fine. I can unbolt it easily to go back to a flush counter top in case I need to use the bench for something else.

Default My reloading bench...

Just started building myself a reloading station this past weekend in a corner of my two car garage I won't call it complete yet but in fairly workable stage 'as is'. I will be tweaking the work area as I get parts in.

Just got some parts in from Midway today. Also, got a chance to stain the bench using left over paint from my DIY audio rack a year ago.

Here's what it looks like today. I'll mount a couple of fluorescent lights under the shelf next.

Here is my setup. I enjoy being in the garage, peace and quiet.

There's a lot of really nice benches and supplies posted here, but I'm not one who would brag on a public forum, including detailed pictures of what I have. I have noticed that most people will also do the same concerning their guns and ammo.

If you think this is a good idea, raise your hand.

With paranoia like that, perhaps you shouldn't be posting anything on the internet at any time. Aren't you afraid someone somewhere will find out you belong to a gun forum?

You probably think everyone is basically honest and of good character, right? I don't. Do you think it's smart to show the world that you have a stockpile of handguns and rifles, along with a large quantity of reloading powder? Tell me the point of that. If I were a burglar, I'd be looking at threads like this, where people are showing me that their house is a good target. If you're reloading, then you probably have a fair number of guns you're feeding. And it's not too tough to find out where a lot of these people live. I'd say it's just common sense to not advertise things like this, but there's a lot of people in this thread who have egos that overcome common sense.

So like I said earlier.... Maybe you should stop posting on a gun forum. Because if I were a "burglar" (as you put it), I'd see you posting on a gun forum and make the assumption that you must have a stockpile of guns that I could steal.

Seriously though........ Lets be honest for a minute......99.99999% of thieves will never do internet research to find their targets. That 99.99999% are basic cowards and idiots.
You make the silly statement of me thinking everyone is basically honest and of good character to detract from your paranoia, right? I don't have to tell you that I'm not that stupid, so lets not play that game.
If you choose to feel like there's always someone looking over your shoulder to capitalize on you living life, then so be it. But please don't come into a thread and tell us what fools we are for living life.
I take necassary measures to secure my private property and family. But I will never live my life hiding from the world in hopes of coming out unscathed.

That's a real Thread-Crappy post to make, but I wouldn't be the one to brag about finding one on a public Forum...

This is my bench as well (from Costco). Incredible bench. Built like a tank and all steel/metal on every part. Best bang for the buck and absolutely no movement (sag) on my press on down strokes. Holds a ton of stuff as well.

What does it.say.about an individual when a bunch of hard core gun enthusiasts think that someone is extreme? I come here for ideas, friendship, and to correspond with like minded individuals. This is the last place a "burglar" would.come trolling for victims. Besides with all of the "blackheilocopters" watching us, the suspect would be seen.right away. Please keep up the great pos as I learn someth

Thieves see pics of a nice reloading set up and decide that would be a nice house to rob. What's their next step? PM and ask for an address...

Very nice, clean setup, Backto. I'll have to thumb through more pages in this thread but do most people who reload sitting down? I ask because I decided I'm just going to make a small, rectangular or square reloading bench(basically a scaled down work bench) and am curious about the height.

i'm on my feet all day doing landscape maint, so i want to sit down while reloading for hours at a time but if your not doing very much at a time id prolly stand up too, you can move around and look at things more easily

I think the person concerned with posting pics and the bad guys using the info was probably meant for something like this:

http://technorati.com/technology/gad...are-dangerous/

How many people have locations services turned on for their iPhones and then turn around and use their iPhone to snap pics they do post here? I know I use the phone for great close ups that my digital camera stumbles on. I've also disabled location services though.

It's a Lee three jaw chuck, universal shell holder. geat for non-super-critical work. I use it for deburring and neck polishing mostly.

Default Reloading Setup

(Be sure to tell your California ASSemblymembers in Sacramento to DO NOT pass SB249 - When it got to the Assembly a rider was added to the bill that makes it FAR, FAR worse than it started out to be!)

Here are a few pix of my new set up. It is a work in progress and I will post additional photos when it all done. Quite a learning curve. Mine is in the basement except the tumbler is used in my tool shed to as not to foul the air in the basement.

Any way we can see a picture of the battery conversion doodad? Will allow me to use an old drill that won't hold a charge.

How many amps is the power supply to the drill?

My DIY drill AC adapter from post 309

I used a power adapter from my old wireless router, the voltage is close and the amperage is close. the drill is a bit weaker than with the battery, but for turning brass it's ok, and I could find a better adapter if I cared.

The battery is 9.6v, i don't know how many amps. the netgear adapter is 12 volts at 1 amp. I think i may try to just use the battery charger to power the drill though.

650 with "As it should be" options from Brian Enos

Added:
Hornady feeder
3/8" Stainless top of lower toolbox
Cabinet has ample room for all supplies and tools
Can take it anywhere to reload
Had to lower overall height to get thru doors
Very stable

Here's my setup. Not too much out there since I only load 9mm at the moment, but I've got enough space to expand a little. Hopefully I can keep this bench as organized as you see it here, haha.

Look behind you and wave! Yep, that's me standing behind the tree in the park with binoculars. Nice setup you have there! Sleep well.

Maybe you should take a break from the outdoor camping and survival forum, I think its making you a bit paranoid

Lets get this back on track....
I got my 650 set up and will get some pics up this weekend. I am building a new "frame" for more stability and will re-use the table top. I am thinking a simpl 4 post design (4x4's for legs) and 2x6's for lateral support. Probably right at the top and then midway. I may even do a plywood shelf under for extra componets. I am not a woodworker by any means so I need straight simple lines from my table saw.
