Good start more organized than me, I have way too many hobbies, not enough time and space. R/C planes, cars/ heli, shooting, Ham Radio, computer games and of course shooting on and on...
Cant wait to get my Dillon setup going

I started reloading 4 years ago, i used a shelf board to mount my press and some clamps on a short drawer file cabinet in my moms 890 sq ft condo. bought a house 2 years ago and theres still not enough room!
Are you going or went to school for electronics or a hobby? I went for computer electronics and also some what of a hobby.

Hey, you stole my cat! His name is Charlie and looks just like yours, only Charlie is fatter and is more destructive (he'd be eating or breaking something). Anyway, that said... I'd like to get into reloading one day. I'm jealous of you guys who have the room and money to reload. I live in an apartment and I just don't have the space or the money. I barely have space or money for what I do have, and that's without reloading. ![]()

I do. Just limited on space, so I had to make it the most space efficient with the area that I had to work with.
I think it works out pretty good ![]() myke |

My setup.
Rifle on left. Pistol on right. Most of my stuff is organized in 30 cal ammo cans below the bench. ![]()

Awesome thread with some great ideas. Just getting into reloading and will start on my bench tonight. Pics to follow.
I have a question about primer/powder storage. I'm out in Ramona and my bench will be in a garage with no AC. I have a refrig/freezer but don't use the freezer side. Would that be good for powder/primer storage? Anyone else have an issue with high temps in the summer and how do you store your primers/powder? |

Current primers and powders should last years and years in open air as long as you don't have high humidity. I wouldn't recommend storing them in a place where fast pressure increase could potentially create a bomb (a fridge). ![]() Just imagine the warehouses these powders and primers come from... hot, cramped, etc. They do just fine...

Ok, got the bench started. I'm going to try to do this like "Run My Renovation" where I try to incorporate your suggestions. All within reason of course. Here's a few pics of what I started. I used a vanity from one of my bathroom renovations then framed it to give it strength. My next step is to Spar Varnish the plywood to give it a smooth surface.
![]() ![]() ![]() All scrap lumber I had laying around. First expense will be the varnish. Last edited by SB30; 06-07-2012 at 7:18 PM.. |

I was going to get a B&D "Work Mate" but I just realized my old drawing table would be great to use. It has some junk on top but what's taking up the most room is my old, THICK tube tv. The table top isn't extremely thick so the Rock Chucker will be screwed into one or two 3/4 pieces(Maybe only one if I get the RCBS accessory plate) of plywood and then C-clamped.
