I for one love the used/worn rifle look, I think it looks great.

was this rifle in City Arms (p-hill) recently? If not I saw one nearly identical.

I've posted it elsewhere, but here it is again - now with an Aimpoint T-1 as the offset optic.
![]() Leupold Mark AR works for me, lving in the urban jungle. 400 yards is about the maximum line of sight I have - even from the rooftop - were it ever to come to that!

Minor update- Swapped out the 1-4X Leatherwood CMR with a Sightmark 2.5-10X32 Mil Dot. The CMR was good for up to 650 yards (Furthest I shot with it) but I was never really comfortable shooting distance with a 4X on this rifle. Also swapped out the SPR brake for a POF unit. Slightly less weight, and kicks up a bit less salad in the prone position.
![]() Ended up putting the CMR on my "Diet" SPR. Essentially a RECCE style build with 16" barrel. Much more compat than a true SPR, but still retains much of the long range capability. ![]()

Bore Snake with either Hoppes bore solvent or Remington bore past, followed by a few blasts of brake cleaner down the bore and gas tube. Before shooting I run another dry boresnake through just to make sure it's free of oil or crud in the bore. I don't sweat cleaning too much, just try to get as much carbon fouling out as possible. I used to be really OCD about cleaning. Bore guides, copper solvent, dozens of patches, etc. All it really got me was a rifle that would group inconsistently for the first 10 to 20 shots before it would settle in to a consistent point of aim and group size.

They are the MAGS EFX A-1 stock distributed through Stag Arms. I really like these stocks, excellent build quality and the cheekweld is perfect for use with optics. I actually prefer these over the Magpul PRS stock for precision rifles, and they also work well for run-and-gun style rifles as well.

I would estimate I paid a little over $3K when all is said and done. Took me a couple years to save up and get all the pieces I wanted. Thanks for the comments.

Pretty much done with my little SPR inspired build. About 1400 for the parts and about 1000 for scope and mount. Haven't even had a chance to take her out yet, she's fresh off the presses of getting the last piece (handguard) put on. The handguard is a little mismatched on the color, but that OK, I love the way it looks.

4-16 FFP.
![]() Wanted something more like a 2-10, but they don't make one in FFP. Plus I won't be using it at less than 4x power anyway and the extra magnification would be good for spotting.

http://www.opsinc.us/suppressors/12t...l-SPR-MBS.html For the sake of authenticity, the Ops Inc. muzzle brake is the correct part for both the Mod 0 and Mod 1 SPR clones, although it's kind of pointless in CA as there is no legal way for civilians to own suppressors in this state.

I should edit that to remove the "Pointless" statement. If you set aside the cost for a moment, the Ops Inc brake is actually a very effective brake, although there are many options that are cheaper that perform jut as well.

Had to step away from the featureless configuration. I liked the mag release, but the ergonomics were just goofy and I think the accuracy of the rifle might have suffered due to this. Besides that, I had to rape the MAGS EFX-A1 stock from it for use on another top secret project which will probably have pics in here in a couple of weeks

Lots of good hardware and ideas. Very timely because I"m thinking of using my base LE6920 and outfitting an upper for SPR use.
I already have Nikkon Buckmaster 6-18x-50 scope on an Armalite 1 piece scope mount. Just trying to decide on the upper and I'm leaning towards the Stag 3G. Also thinking of a Geissele SSA drop in. It's funny because I've had a Thompson Contender with 3 different barrels and it wasn't until last week (I've had the Thompson since 1984) that I realized my Colt (since March of this year) can be outfitted with different uppers in the same manner. A lot of these setups look great. Love looking at something a bit different than the typical 16" w/Aimpoint + Magnifier.... oh wait, that's what I got! ![]()

Many of you will recognize the MAGS EFX-A1 stock stolen off of my RECCE build, but the rest of this build is all new parts. Somewhere along the way I think I may have traded off a child or kidney (maybe both) to the guys at Precision Reflex....

It ends up being a few shades darker than magpul FDE, I actually like it quite a bit. The rapid photo shop I did really doesn't do it justice. It was pretty late when i got it finished tonight, the photoshop was the best I could do given the lighting.

That is actually the best looking SPR I have seen on this thread. Some great builds on here but yours, Good Sir, has to be the one I like the most.
Is that an issued one? I only ask cause that looks alot like the last one I shot, lmao. MK12 Mod 0 is the best. Not sure why they decided to do a Mod 1 but I will always prefer the Mod 0. The only thing I have and would change is putting the SOPMOD stock on it like yours is. |

I was considering one of the 2.5-10X44 PST's, but now I'm thinking the 4-16 is looking like a decent option as well. Any pics of the reticle at different powers?

Busy day of moving into my new condo today, but I'll try and setup some pictures of the reticle at various powers tonight. TBH, I wanted the 2.5-10, because I think this might be a little much for the 5.56 round. But I wanted something with a FFP, and this was the smallest they made.
