In 2020, he was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, carrying a loaded firearm in public and carrying a concealed firearm. In a deal with prosecutors, Dixon pleaded no contest to being a felon in possession of a firearm and the three other felonies were dropped. Dixon was sentenced to 5 years and four months on March 7, 2022, but was released in September 2022, based on an accumulation of time credits calculated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation."

As well all know, it's against the law for him to have possession of a firearm.
If the gun safety laws worked, the guy wouldn't have a gun! The police officer would still be alive. Of course, he would still be alive in Newsom hadn't pushed for shorter prison times.
Here's a pic of Newsom at the press conference. I find the banner highly ironic, and this is what I'd like to see in the press all over the nation.
