I have a Seecamp on my CCW, and I am WAY low on ammo for practice and qual. Seecamp recommends ammo,
We recommend the following .32 ammunition in no particular order: Winchester Silvertip 60gr. HP (**NOT WINCHESTER SUPER X**) PMC Bronze 60gr. JHP Federal Premium Hydra Shok It's an OAL issue, non recommended ammo is too long for the magazine. It will fire and eject and pick up the next round, but that round needs to be one of the approved rounds to fit into the mag. Anyway, I would like to reload some ammo for this little finger wrecker, and I plan to use the approved ammo OAL to replicate something that will feed reliably. Dies? It seems Dillon doesn't make .32 ACP dies, anyone using something else successfully? Anyone have brass in stock anywhere? Projs? I have current reloading manuals. Anyone have recipes they like for this application? Thanks.

Starline is taking backorders on 32 brass so it shouldn't be too long before it's available. other than cast lead, about the only bullets available are Berry's 71gn plated.
How short of an OAL does the Seecamp mag require? I load that bullet @.965" for my NAA Guardian and have many good loads worked up but they'd need to be downloaded quite a bit if seated more than .010" to .020" deeper. Reason being that I mostly use fast burning powders that would spike pressure quickly, and few have any published test data available. That's the fun of 32 auto reloading. As far as dies go, I've been using a Lee set with a FCD for years and haven't had any issues after polishing the rough places that Lee is typical for neglecting. Would have preferred RCBS, but I actually bought the Lees used from a swap meet for $5 before I ever purchased my first 32 cal pistol. |

The bullet I use that works in the Seecamp is the Hornady .311 60 grain XTP, and Hornady stopped selling it as a component several years ago.
I use Lee carbide dies and a Lee factory crimp die on a Lee turret press with the Lee micro-disk (micro-disk also discontinued but a 3D printed copy is available from Titan Reloading) with very small charges of W231, Power Pistol and Unique (and I keep velocity the same as factory ammo so I don’t damage my Seecamp - around 800-850 fps for a 60 grain JHP from the Seecamp). I also have a .32 ACP Lee Classic Loader which was very hard to find but works great. .32 ACP brass is very thin and case heads are not always perfectly flat, so if you do not gently align the case with the powder through expanding die, you will crush/tear the case mouth. Speer and Hornady both make a suitable JHP .32 ACP bullet that used to be available as components, but they only sell loaded ammo now. Winchester also makes a 60 grain JHP and a 71 grain flat point FMJ but they have never sold those projectiles to the public. Barnes makes a 60 grain copper HP, but they only sell it to Buffalo Bore. Lehigh Defense makes a .311 50 grain “Extreme Cavitator” and offers load data, but they specific OAL of .945. I do not think the Lehigh Defense bullet will work in a Seecamp, but I have not tried it. Seecamp ammo needs to be loaded to .910 OAL, which requires a 60-65 grain JHP or a 71 grain flat point FMJ (like Winchester white box). I enjoy loading .32 ACP, but proper bullets to load for the Seecamp are not available for sale anymore. Last edited by Elgatodeacero; 02-05-2023 at 4:26 AM.. |

That's a good reason to cast. Here's a flat nose bullet I cast from a modified Lee rifle mold. Got the idea from another forum. It drops at .310" and weighs 73 grains. I load it to .900" and it functions in all my 32's. Accurate makes several good molds from 60gn to 77gn that would work well also. ![]() |

Which mold did you use and how did you modify it?
Here is another option, maybe they offer load data? https://rimrockbullets.com/xcart/-32...p-per-500.html My Seecamp is from the 90's and the rifling is very shallow so I have never tried cast bullets. I might have to when I run out of JHPs. |

OP, I have not tried loading .32 acp and don't know where you can get components. The PMC HP's are widely available online, if you can find brass you can order some and save the casings. Hopefully you have an FFL03, it will get even more pricey otherwise.

I believe the OAL limit for Seecamp is 0.920, not .0910.

Caution I myself have not done business with either of these companies personally so do your own research but
MOJO precision looks like a good deal https://mojoprecision.com/product/32-auto-pistol-brass/ And everglades ammo have used 32 acp brass in stock could also try gunbroker for brass. |

I have heard you can remove the spacer rod inside the seecamp mag, and reliably use normal length ammo.
I have not tried it myself.. I've only fired silvertip, buffalo bore, and hornady through mine. |

The only issue I've had with buying once fired 32 brass is it being mixed headstamp. For those that don't know, there are two thicknesses of brass. European made ammo uses a .309" bullet and thick brass. The rest use a .311"-.312" bullet and thin brass. Last batch of used brass I bought was more than half thick brass, PPU and Fiocchi. Only one of my 32's will chamber a .311" bullet using thick brass. The rest I have to size the bullet to .309" which chamber but accuracy goes out the window. |

I stopped reloading for .32 acp years ago. This was for a NAA Guardian whcih is brutal to shoot. I probably have lots of components (brass, bullets) that you are welcome to.
No charge, I can send these to you. Let me get an inventory list together and see exactly what I have. Stay tuned if you are interested. Dan |

I have a WW2 production PP that needs to be shot but I have no brass. I have dies and bullets covered already. Just need brass.
