Hey all, thought I would throw this out there. Awhile back there was a couple threads on here that 357 caliber carbines were talked about and the Timberwolf was mentioned. There is a nice Timberwolf on the rack at Goleta Valley Guns that is going unnoticed now for weeks. I know they are tough to find and I already have two. Rick's #805-683-1867. Stopped by there this afternoon and it's still there. Rick is a cool guy and said he has no problem shipping to your FFL.
PM me if you need more info. Mark

![]() I'd love to get one. They just never seem to pop up at the right time for me. I think a pump action pistol cal carbine is just about as cool as it gets. If your ever in the market to trade one of your Timberwolfs, please contact me. Thank you for the info Mark

I remember when the ATF banned the Israeli s from importing them because it would fire with the wood stock removed and making the front receiver under 26 inches.
So IMI moved the production to the USA and Spring field Armory gave it a go. In 1992 ish. I’ve seen them for $1800 used. I think there is a market for a pump action .357/38 today. The Timberwolf held 10 rounds. Bob

I happened to snag one off Gunbroker years back when I didn't realize how rare and sought-after they would become.
$500 and I was the only bidder. It was new in box. Nice little gun for that money. I hear the .44 version has a tendency to develop issues with the furniture due to higher recoil. The .357 is no joke and will handle man-sized targets adeptly. Wish they were still made, I would take another two especially in stainless steel.

Before Ruger bought Marlin, I had this little fantasy that they’d bring out a new Timberwolf centered around the form of their rotary 44 mag magazine: 4 round rotary flush, 10 round sticks for “heavy days.” Would have made for a neat 44 pdw. Side folder and pg option for extra tacticool points without triggering AW laws. Neat truck/RV rifle. Oh well.

Yeah,,, that price is ridiculous! for a .357!!!! I wouldn't even give that for a .44 and I would really like to have a .44 Timberwolf!
$1200 is more like it. Did you try to negotiate the price? Most guns stores are more than willing to do that. Randy

I send Henry an email at least once a year asking them to make a pump action 357. I'm sure it lands on deaf ears but maybe just once..

You know, I’ve sent Ruger a number of silly emails with suggestions. They’ve always sent me thoughtful and fairly detailed emails about why or why not my suggestion is a good idea.

.357 Max is long to fit in the action.

Back in the mid 1990’s I walked several aisles at a North Carolina gun show looking for this rifle. There, on the last aisle a guy had one for $350. I hesitated but took his card. Next day I decided to buy it and gave him a call. Sorry, it sold.

Might be interesting if Remington came made a 76xx in pistol cartridge. They've done short and long rifle cartridge's for year; an ultra-short action in 357, 44m etc would be fun.
