Got to visit an unsaved son over Thanksgiving. Had not seen in seven years nor his three children. Outside that night looking at stars with granddaughter (who is six)explaining where all the stars came from ,got to drop GOD in the picture,son didn’t say anything but it’s one small step. Never stop praying.

I don’t remember, again I hadn’t seen him in seven years. I have 8 children and
13 grandchildren. Three of mine are not saved. My personal mission field is working on them and some are distant. I had real Baptism about 30 years ago
but didn’t really start to pull my act together until 8 years ago after retiring. My
wife has a bad health diagnosis and I started reading the Bible every day in addition to praying for the kids. I remember distinctly after reading
Philippians 2:3,”do not be vain or conceited but humbly think of others as being better then yourselves “. That passage was like GOD slapping me across the face! I really felt he was giving me more then a second chance to do things right.

maybe God will use your grandchildren to open their hearts to Jesus. you're sowing the seed and may they respond to Lord's invitation.

i was like you, became a christian but not walking the talk. only after reading the Bible and watching good pastors on t.v that my faith grew and became christian like person. i still need a lot of growing to do but definitely walking on the narrow path.

Thank you,I appreciate your post. Again after retiring and reading every day,I finally started to get it. My wife’s illness really put me on my knees,also. 65 years old and finally figured out “ my way” doesn’t work!! I’ve been n the OC for almost
5 years after living in Ventura Cty almost 20 years. Like you,over the years I’ve learned a lot from some of the TV pastors. I’m part of a big church here,joining at the behest of a friend I really loved but he succumbed to cancer back in May. I’m not particularly happy with the mega church but my wife has so many friends who care about her. Also,the mega church just recently “retired “ so hoping some things might change—— but that’s a whole nother conversation.

my apology. i totally missed the part about your wife's health condition on post #3. hoping her condition is in a better light now.

sorry to hear about your friend. we as a christian have the hope to see our departed loved ones, though we grief, we rejoice in the resurrection while we await the return of our King.

My wife had a head injury about 40 years ago in a car crash. About 12 years ago she started having memory problems,so we are looking at slow progression of the dementia. As most are aware there is no happy ending in these situations. You just have to be thankful for what you have and not be concerned with other things. Faith is the one thing that helps us all carry on.

Amen Brother. we take things that come our way and deal with them with our Faith in God. The Father will make it right in the end.
