Just got back from the last Lancaster Nov 19-20th show, for anyone thinking about going tomorrow, save your gas and the money and don't bother. $10 parking, $12 admission, and %90 of the items there are non-gun related. Was a very disappointing show. Probably worse than a crossroads show.
All the old dudes that used to have a bunch of C&R guns no longer go there. LAX ammo had a booth there with a long line but their prices were pretty much the same as Turners pricing when they have sales. The vendor that has a bunch of oem/aftermarket magazines was selling them all for %10-20 over ebay pricing. There was one guy there selling reloading stuff (powder, primers, etc) but it was pretty old looking and all overpriced too. Walked out empty handed. If you go anyways, park across the street in the dirt lot to save $10 and walk in. Last edited by Xplosiv3; 11-19-2022 at 12:59 PM.. |

Went to the show. It was good to see lots of people there. Each building had two large ammo vendors and all four had long lines.
Saw the guy with lots of powder. It was $50 a pound. He had primers for $20/100 or $165/1000. I passed on both. He had a very low supply of jacketed bullets. There were some deals on brass around the place. If I needed any, I would have bought some. A few small vendors did have old rifles including muzzle loaders. Saw .223 ammo for ~ $0.35 a round. Must have been reloads. I bought a used pair of Ruger Blackhawk wood grips for $40. They will go on my Wrangler to replace the cheap plastic grips. Also bought two level IIIA plates for our bug home bags for $120 for the pair. They wanted $65 for one plus tax. I asked if they would give me a break on two. So, I got two for $120 even.

I should have taken my reloading components out there and set up at entrance with prices. Powder 25 per pound 100 per k for primers, bullets, etc. I was working at my property in Lake hughes today anyway.

Saw an interesting rifle there. A Savage 99 in 25-35. I'm still thinking about it.

After reading the post and talking to a few friends who went, I was hesitant about going. I went anyway. It's was low key compared to others. I did talk to a vendor and they mentioned someone was trying to put together another event not on state property. But I did walk away with some 350 pcs 6.5 CM brass and a belt.
