Forget the 10mm Ruger PCC. It’s never going to happen. Same with one in 45acp. That blowback deadweight would be too big and heavy. The PCC in .40 does exist (may not be currently available) and of course .40 Glocks abound. Here’s mine: ![]() Have them paired both with Underwood Xtreme Defenders in .40 for home defense ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

My go kit contains a Glock 19, a 9mm KelTec Sub2k and 10 loaded magazines, half 15-rounders and half 33-rounders. Some people look down on KelTec stuff but I've never had a single issue, and the Sub2k runs like a typewriter... albeit a typewriter with a long, gritty trigger.

I have or have had carbine/handgun pairs in:
.22LR .30 Carbine 9MM .38/.357 .44 Magnum .45 ACP .223/5.56 (yup, a Contender counts... lol) It's even more fun when the carbine and semi-auto pistol share magazines. Never mind California_Deplorable's opinion... MY opinion is that pairing isn't just for wine and cheese! ![]()

Just ran across this thread and yep gat a few, but I do have a thompson contender so it makes it more likely although one of the pairs doesn't involve the TC
Colt 1911 & Marlin camp 45...same mag & ammo...but these are going away. Ruger 17WSM & TC 17HMR Ruger mini 14 & TC 223 super 14 Ruger 22lr & TC 22lr super 14 S&W 357 & soon to come a lever gun in 357 to be converted into a tactical lever gun. |

I have a lone eagle in 308. Does that count?
Many single action revolvers have a complimentary level action rifle. It was how the West was won. I think the idea of this thread was a semi pistol with complimentary semi-PCC in the same caliber. S&W 500 was designed potentially able to chamber it with a 556. The pressure, and wheel length all comply. Except they probably realized there is really not a 556-revolver market, so they never put one in production. 556 in short barrels makes a bad hunting caliber. |

And they use the same mags. I have the older version of the Ruger Pc carbine that uses the Ruger P-89 mags. Make things simple, just load them both up this 9m.

I collect ammo as much as firearms it seems, the more different chamberings the better AFAIC. Pairs are cool though, but I've never understood "all my shotguns are in 12g, all my pistols are in 9mm". I probably have 100 different calibers myself.

"The best you can do", At least put a little effort into it. Just kidding, I'm a huge fan of case hardened and that is a beautiful set. I have my dad's matched set of mid 70s Uberti 22lr with 22 mag cylinders that are 14 serial numbers apart & they look just like yours except walnut grips.

Big fan of pistol-and-carbine combos, but not necessarily both in the exact same chambering...
For example, .44 Mag can be pretty damned stout from a handgun, to the point where one might not be able to consistently hit well with it. Enter "Heavy" .44 Special, a 250-grain Keith LSWC over 7.7 grains (my adaptation of Skeeter's imfamous load) for a true, measured 1000 fps... from a medium-frame, flat-top Ruger Blackhawk chambered in .44 Special. Took Ruger 54 years to make that pistol. .44 Magnum from a carbine, however, can be loaded quite warm and wonderful... this is a 270-grain Speer Deep Curl to 1450 fps from this 16" Marlin 1894SBL, a trapper-length .44 Magnum carbine. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not everyone can afford or have the space to stockpile 100 different calibers. I am one of those limited caliber users. I only buy guns that shoot 12ga, 22lr, 9mm, 223/556, 308. Anything else and I dont even consider it for purchase.

Nice set up OP !
My only combo is a PC Carbine and CZ's , found a PC Carbine magwell with good reviews but it's from a company in Canada that won't export ![]() My only lever is a Marlin 336Y so nothing to pair with that.

This list will (if anything) shrink a bit as I cull those guns I no longer shoot (or hate to shoot) from the inventory. Think .32 acp. I settled on fun, accurate, effective defensively, easy to find components types of calibers. Few modern ones, most have been around for up to 100 years (or more). .300WSM I think is the newest caliber but since I don't hunt anymore, I do not have a functional use for it. But the rifle I have (Browning A-Bolt II Medallion) is so gorgeous, I can't bring myself to consider selling it (or giving it away). Also, so far it is the tack driving most accurate rifle I own even though the recoil beats me up a bit. Dan |

I'm on the opposite trajectory and looking to add a few calibers, may eventually decide to reduce things again. Currently considering to add a mouse pistol in 32ACP for a fun/novelty range toy.

I have an old model (three screw) Blackhawk in .30 Carbine and a 1944 Underwood M1 Carbine.
I also have a Winchester Model 94 and a Henry Big Boy both chambered in .45 Colt that pair up with my two Colt SAA revolvers also in .45 Colt.
