Default AZ Training Requirements

Does anyone know if California P.O.S.T. Basic and Intermediate certificates satisfy AZ’s training requirement? How about a California CCW training certificate with a CA CCW?

I’ve read the AZ statute but it’s not clear to me on this. I also emailed AZ but received no response.

Your CA CCW training cert will work.

Does it have the instructors NRA # on it?

CA CCW works without needing any instructor info. Your POST certs should work too AZ only wants ONE cert so, don't send a whole pile of crap Just follow their instructions online and you should be fine.

The name, signature and the place (On-Target in Orange County) but no reference to NRA at all.

My 16-hour CA CCW class allowed me to get my AZ CCW.

I sent in the application with everything and both the la county Ccw training certificate and Utah certificate. I just got it back in the mail saying it needs an nra # on the training certificates. They said I can also send a copy of the Utah ccw card, but I don’t have it yet.

Do you have your CA CCW?
A copy of that works.
A DD214 does as well.

Not yet, have my interview in a week. I may look up an Az ccw class here, I think it’s 3 hours. I can also wait for the Utah permit I guess

I can also verify the CA CCW works for AZ training. They accept a plethora of "training programs".

Yes, your POST firearms class satisfies the AZ training requirement.

Default I have my Arizona CCW, but asked this for a friend.

We accept the California Hunters Education only if it was issued prior to the year 2020.

Sincerely,

Morning,
I have your Arizona non-resident CCW. Have a question for a friend that wants to apply.
I used my DD214 as firearm safety proof.
Question is, do you accept the California Hunter Safety card as firearm safety qualified?
Thank you.

I think the prior 2020 CA Hunters Ed required live fire.
I had to do a live fire when I took the course way back.
This would satisfy their requirements.

I only took the local CCW class because they went over many aspects of the law in regards to justifiable force. That was my motivation for taking the class since my DD214 was plenty to get the permit. And the cost of the class included them doing fingerprints as well.

Took mine in '77 and again, with my stepson, in '06. No live fire required either time. In fact, I've NEVER heard of live fire requirements in CA. Maybe it was something the instructor did on his/her own????

Took the class in Mission Gorge, San Diego, CA back in 89, the second portion of class, we went to the range and fired a few rounds of 22lr.
Could be the instructor, but I still remembered they loaned me a Marlin model 60 to shoot.
