I believe in the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution. People under the law are entitled to protection and self-defense. Additionally, I do not think this right should only be provided to the few, the elite, or to those with access to power. This is an equity issue and for far too long, people in our county have been denied this right. I intend as Sheriff to bring us into compliance with adjoining counties, (Sacramento, Solano, San Joaquin) that good cause and establishment for such cause is personal protection or self-defense.

Hoping something comes of this. I am trying to decide how much volunteering I'm capable of. The election is June from what I read. A bit surprising the campaigning hasn't been ramped up more. Need a good ol' tv commercial.
