Default Informal competition/training for NRA Pistol Qualification

Hello, I would like to practice, but knowing if you're good or bad is also valuable. So I would like to measure myself in two ways:
1) Going to the range and trying out the NRA's Pistol Qualification assessment. page 4.
2) Doing it with other people as a fun little informal competition. We shoot, score, and declare a winner.

Is there any interest? I would suggest the San Leandro indoor range, it's open.
Everyone will pay their own way, range fees, ammo, personal protective equipment. I could come up with a 1st place prize, something cheap, for the spirit of it and so we could do it again if people like it.

So Cal can't have all the fun.

Having lived in both So Cal and the Bay Area you will have better luck getting folk to participate in So Cal like you mentioned. Roundeye would do these events and get a decent turnout, at least when I went (seems like a lifetime ago). Bay Area gun owners from my experience tend to be a little more skitchy (best way to describe it)

You would be better off trying to get folks to an outdoor range. Better yet, take action pistol class then attend practices. You will gain exposure to a lot of great folks that love shooting and teaching.
