DixieFire: Shasta/Lassen County
The Dixie Fire has Old Station in Shasta County evacuated tonight. Highway 89 is closed from 299 south to the entrance to Lassen Park and 44 is closed from 89 out towards Susanville.
We are expecting dry lightning and gusty winds beginning tomorrow. The fire guys may be chasing spot fires the next day or two and resources are already stretched thin. Getting out of the cities and living in the middle of nowhere sure ain’t for sissies!
