Yes, subsonic loads are incredibly quiet suppressed. Great for Javelina!

It’s not the most quiet out there, but I have not shot it with any subsonics yet. The performance is understandable as DA tries to leave us a large opening to allow for AK barrel concentricity issues.

Yes, I’m running a KNS adjustable piston. A must for any suppressed AKs, in my opinion.

Yep, the AK gas system makes for a somewhat loud suppressed configuration. Saiga 12 SBS with Salvo:

Most excellent! I love the m1/m2 carbine.
The f/a lever and mechanism is really cool on the m2.

I never liked the idea of getting an M2 because the ammo is hard to find and expensive. 5.56 is quite a bit cheaper, or it used to be anyway.

We had a shoot with about 7 guys for the first time in awhile. The forest is now open to shooting thanks to a huge amount of monsoon rain so far this month. We did not do much video, but these two were fun for new expats. The first one is his first experience shooting a centerfire rifle, let alone a machine gun. A quick learner! The second guy had never shot a subgun, but had military basic training on the M14.

Looks like fun. I haven’t been shooting in over a year due to lack of ammo. The little that I have I am afraid to shoot because I don’t know when it will be back in stock at reasonable rates or when primers will be available for my reloads. I SBR’d 4 rifles between 2020 and today and probably have less than 100 rounds through them in total. Just enough to make sure they run with my suppressors. Hell I have not even sighted the new RDS I added to two of them.

PLUS 200 bucks and transfer fees, lol.

If you just want a machine gun a MAC is about half the cost, and from there you can get 5.56 uppers or 9mm uppers that take drums, etc.

Yep, cheaper at about $7k to $10k for a transferrable. We have two M11/9 guns, both post dealer samples, so 1/10th the cost to obtain. One has a Lage slow-fire upper on it and is great for sub-gun competition here in AZ. The other is all original and is just a bullet hose, unergonomic, inaccurate and dangerous as originally configured to someone not familiar with the gun. They are interesting in their own way, but not M2 interesting.

Lage upper:

Original, notice the crappy stock partially folding during fire:

I guess, but the MAC is more modular and flexible. Works well with modern optics, etc.

Full disclosure, I have shot M1 carbines, but not an M2. And I have a friend with a MAC that I've burned thousands of rounds through.

Yes, very flexible!

Compared to a dedicated can like a Osprey or Octane, not as quiet. The Maxim has a truly awful factory trigger as well. We tried an aftermarket solution that resulted in light strikes with all 3 springs provided. Would be nice if there was an aftermarket stock solution, but no. I think Silencerco discontinued it.
