MY COP BUDDY JUST GOT ME HOOKED UP WITH WHAT SEEMS LIKE THE BEST DEAL AROUND. APPARENTLY THIS YEAR GLOCK UPDATED THE BLUE LABEL PROGRAM TO INCLUDE VETERANS! I PICKED UP THEIR LAST GLOCK 19 GEN 3 WITH NIGHT SIGHTS ON SATURDAY. THE PROGAM ALLOWS VETERANS WITH A DD214 TO PURCHASE 2 GLOCKS AT THAT BLUE LABEL PRICE PER CALENDAR YEAR.
I ATTACHED THE FLYER OFF THEIR SITE. THEY WERE OUT OF GLOCK 26'S SO THEY ADDED ME TO THEIR "WANT LIST". I DIDN'T NEED TO PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN FOR THEM TO ORDER IT WHICH WAS REFRESHING. THE SALESMAN THAT HELPED ME, ERIC, TOLD ME ONCE THEY HAVE MORE THEY WILL CALL CUSTOMERS IN ORDER OFF THIER "WANT LIST". SINCE I MOVED BACK TO CALI, I HAVE PURCHASED FROM A COUPLE OF GUNS FROM SMALLER DEALERS TO AVOID THE GAINTS BUT AT THAT PRICE - YOU JUST CAN'T BEAT IT! I BOUGHT MY GLOCK 34 FROM A SMALL MOM & POP SHOP IN SGV - GREAT PEOPLE. I JUST WISH GLOCK MADE THESE CHANGES YEARS AGO. THE WAIT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY I SAVED. THANK YOU GLOCK! THIS STARTED ON JANUARY 1ST SO TO ALL MY FELLOW SERVICE MEMBERS - TAKE ADVANTAGE. |

Sounds like a sweet deal to me. Glad to know that some company like Glock and proforce go out of there way to provide deals for people that have protected our country. I wish I could take advantage of this. Thank you for your service.

Correct! They added Veterans for the entire year of 2021. The program your talking about was called the salute to veterans which was limited. I wish I had the funds to buy when they offered it for 2 months last year but missed the mark.

This is now the only way to get a Glock at a reasonable price.
Yea, you have to wait, but you actually pay less than MSRP. Where else are you going to get that now??????????

If you are in So Cal, Addax Tactical is blue label Glock dealer and one of the folks there is a fellow veteran. From my past experience, blue label Glocks having markings on the box (but not on gun itself). So you can't just randomly get blue label pricing on any Glock. It has to be from a blue label dealer on a designated blue label Glock. Roster rules still apply.

Only a background check would validate my final exit.

Regarding the 'not all DD-214s are created equal' comment.. In this context, the 2 discharge categories that classify someone as a prohibited person would also preclude someone from passing a NCIC check. A Dishonorable Discharge and a 'Dismissal' for Officers are a result of a court martial, for in this context carry the same weight as a Felony conviction, so 'unequal' separation codes are moot.
The General, Other Than Honorable, Bad Conduct, Medical Discharges, and Entry Level separations qualify someone for at least a minimum level of benefits or VA Care. ELS is the only subjective classification when it comes to being labeled a 'Veteran', but even an ELS receives limited benefits from the VA.. Snoopy is absolutely correct: prior honorable discharges are not overridden by later discharges of a less honorable nature. Occasionally, we have service members who left to the IRR with an 'honorable discharge' DD214, and then decided to come back in after a break in service. If, during that second period of service, they get kicked out for conduct (DUIs, urinalysis most commonly) and received a 'bad conduct' discharge - they are still fully covered and entitled to federal benefits under their first period of service. Periods of service are separate, and character of service with 1 does not change another. |

I wonder how many at CalGuns have served and therefore are entitled to a DD214?

Well I served, but not in combat arms. I've forgotten the MOS, but I made crowns and bridges for the dental clinic. Apparently, the bird colonel liked my work so much, he pulled some strings and I stayed at my duty station until my time was up.

Me neither. But maybe my nephew would like a gen 5. What is the discount?

The discount is LEO pricing..w/restricted mags in place of standard capacity mags. I still prefer metal frame SA/DA pistols. Would not have paid MSRP for tupperware Glocks. But with blue label discount, I did pick one up a few years ago.

Even though I am not a Glock fan that's super cheap and a great pricing.
Btw OSS Suppressors offers a 30% discount for military and police. It's called the PASS program and you have to send them your credentials or ID. Well worth it. |
