Default LA and OC Cars, coffee and casings

Hey everyone! Testing the cal guns waters to see how many of you are automotive enthusiasts as well.
I am working on an idea I’ve been knocking around in my head as an automotive photographer who shoots a lot of events as well as cars and coffee and automotive experiences. A lot of us are also watch and gun enthusiasts from what I can tell.

My thoughts are to host a cars and coffee in Los Angeles followed by a group drive and day at the the range, with majority of proceeds going to a charity.

I know that within the automotive community, there are many family owned Pro-2A companies that would sponsor the event, and many companies in the gun industry are owned by automotive enthusiasts.

This is a bit of a testing the waters for interest! I think it is a positive way to bring more people into the pro- 2A fold. Make your voice heard if you like the idea.

Depends on the range.. no one wants to drive a vintage car out on a dirt road and into a dirt parking lot...at least I dont.

i don't think there are any outdoor ranges in the socal region that has a completely paved parking lot.

and having a range day at an indoor place would be a bit lame.

Small world man - you got those shots of my Aston at Malibu Autobahn last weekend!

Definitely down for this idea - count me in.

Agreed! With lowered cars and supercars, having clean roads, a lack of speed bumps and low approach angles are all issues I am considering. Also, the ability to rent a range for the group, etc.

Angeles Shooting Range has paved road and parking lot. So does Oak Tree Gun club.

Yeah, I’ve been there a few times and it seems like the best bet for road quality. Definitely always extremely busy. Looking into LASC which has an additional lot. Any thoughts on renting a range or just meeting at one?

ah, so it does. i just checked the google maps view.

didn't realize it.

i guess that would be the best outdoor range then. i believe they also rent out private bays? but i heard that it was a bit more involved than renting a private bay at burro.

ARDude Scratch705 I am looking into their range rentals. I was up there last weekend to look at their ranges again. (And to have a little fun.) I am going to reach out about their training/filming location at LASC, which is separate from the main location.
