I am not sure what last night was about.
It was my first Cal Guns "Meet" so I just thought the program would be somewhat followed as outlined in the 1st post.

7:30PM- Sign-in + Pizza there was no pizza!
7:50PM- Pay Range fee + Meet and Greet + Calguns Announcements + Lane Assignments no meet n greet. I started a conversation with one guy, he engaged for less than a minute. No Cal Guns announcement or introductions.
8:00PM- Range Goes Hot this is where we actually started.
.
9:30PM- Competition
9:40PM- Ceasefire + Cleanup
9:50PM- Winners from Competition Announced
10:00PM- Range Closes

I left around 9:15.
Since the start of the program wasn't followed, I had zero expectations for the competition portion of the program.

This should really be titled evening shooting with strangers.

Because other than the time of day, it was like going to the indoor range.

The good news is I can say I have been to one of these events.
The bad news is I can I attended one of these events.

Best of luck to you all.

Old Marine,
I am sorry you had a negative experience at this shoot, usually this is not the case. I was unable to attend this event but have been involved and ran a few of these shoots. We will look at improving the experience at this event. Hopefully you can join us again and give it another shot.
