There is some confusion over lawsuits involved in this case. This most recent ruling is against the plaintiffs, who sued Idaho. Previously, Idaho had sued to remove an encampment, but when they left, the suit was vacated.

You see them on occasion, but they mostly keep to the brush. As warm and fuzzy as Boise is they dont like to see them in the city parks the residents use. Typical Bluetard, they bleed blue until it directly impacts them, and then they have little compassion for it and call the PD quickly.

I hate to be cynical, but I suspect that many of them were not homeless; rather, they were encamped for political reasons.

IMHO one avenue the city/county/state can use against any tent cities is drug use. Idaho is very different from the surrounding states in that they have not legalized any use of recreational drugs.
