Oh and for shipping, send it in a gun case or a fitted foam cutout. I kept my Vudoo box with the cutout foam. It was a barreled action. They don't need a stock for Remington style actions, they have a metal fixture they will bolt it into.

yes sir, I bought a Proof pre-fit barrel for everything that's not the normal Eley or Lapua round. I plan to do separate testing with that outside of regular plinking with the Cutting Edge CuRx coppers for CA varminting. As for the Bartlein I have, I currently have Eley Tenex and Match rounds lined up to break the barrel in as Capstone wants.

Howdy all!

Just an update. I landed on a MDT ACC Elite chassis for this build. Once it arrives, I'm hoping to get the first few hundred rounds through the barrel, and then eventually off to Capstone to get tested.

Anyone have info on NRL matches in the south bay? I saw that Sunnyvale has them, but I can't seem to find info on the matches. I was hoping for weekend matches, but can't seem to find any.

Just got through the second range trip with the rifle. First trip was with 150 rounds of Aguila pistol match rounds, and it did okay in terms of zeroing the rifle. I wasn't really shooting for groups, but more getting used to the rifle and making adjustments. The second trip was more of the same, and I wanted to get as many rounds through the rifle and see how it liked different rounds. I brought 100 rounds of Aguila Pistol Match, 100 rounds of Wolf Match, 100 rounds of Eley Match, 100 rounds of CCI Standard, 100 rounds of Lapua Center X.

I was so excited to pack up and go shooting, I forgot a rear bag and a lower bipod. The first trip out was from the prone, so I had a taller one on the rifle, and never swapped it out for a lower one. I managed to get all 500 rounds through the rifle in about three hours. I knew I wasn't going to get super tight groups, so I was more trying to get a better feel for the set up, make small adjustments to the chassis/grip/thumb rest. All the targets are at 50 yards, and about as quick as I can semi accurately shoot them.

Carl, my daughter's cat was rather curious about it also. He's claimed the tripod hammock as his now.
