MAS 49 APX Scope

Hello,

I recently obtained a MAS 49/56 rifle and I noticed there appears to be a scope mount on the left side of the receiver. I did some research and found its called a APX L806 scope.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find one?

He has been a source of French weapons/parts for years - he may know of a source if he is out.

I got one from Buddy. Nice condition (though the serial number was scratched out), clear optics.

Someone was making a mount that used standard rings, you may want to search for that if you just want optics

KVAR made a side mount, works very well.

I've had this MAS 49/56 for a long time, the mount about the same. It's solid and stiff, stays in place and dismounts easily. Looks OK.

Too bad the Barska is ..... a Barska. It's OK, but made better would be great on AR an AK types.

Between the "almost 308" cartridge and AK type side mount - the French may have been on to something.

It is a nice round for the WW2 Era, I too have two 49/56 with scope but also a 49 needing a scope

Their pricy but also very rare today, tough call.
