Arrow "Fear not, for I am with you"

Quote:
Isaiah 41:10 - English Standard Version

Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

This is today's "Verse of the day" on Biblegateway. I saw it while meditating on what The Lord has been doing in my life. I've gone from retired to joining a new church, hired as worship arts director and was nominated & selected to be an elder. Now, the elders and pastors have selected me to be chairman of the elder board.

Each of those things had initially been frightening to me. I did not want to do any of them! But I told God, "I hope You know what You're doing!" as I eventually accepted each of those positions. He has blessed me greatly and shown Himself to be an amazing God.

Have you accepted a challenge from God? How did it work out? What was the result as He illuminated the path for you?

Default Amen

Amazing how often those verses speak to you. But then the Word is itself amazing.

The military taught me to never volunteer for anything, but I enjoyed your post. Keep 'em coming K.

Well I came close to be asked to be a Board member at a non denom church in Antioch Cali some 30+ yrs ago. But a lady uh person said " I don't FEEL any love from this uh Brother '' and I was NOT running for office so that was that.

Be Blessed Bro and God Bless YOU and equip you for service before Him.

Psalm 1

I asked the question: “Have you accepted a challenge from God? How did it work out? What was the result as He illuminated the path for you?” Because I can’t be the only one here experiencing some type of call from the Almighty. Moses was 80 when God called him to do something for His kingdom.

I have a strong direction to interact with others in Bible studies and discussions about how to learn the scriptures. And to encourage those asking questions on learning how to know the scriptures to read read read the word and read it again. I emphasize Ephesians ch 1 vs 17 - 21, esp verse 21. More like a direction maybe than a calling.

Psalm 1

I experienced this this week. I have had and will continue to have some difficulties at work. Protecting an employee from retaliation from a manager I work for. It sucks knowing that you may lose your job for what is right but through trusting in God, He gives you the strength to go forward and shows you a way to do it. God is great and most times when we are called to deal with challenges He does not let us side step them but rather learn to trust Him more and more by going through the experience and gaining confidence in Him when we face challenges.

I started volunteering last week as a door greeter & usher at my church. Sounds like no big deal unless you know i am extremely shy introvert. Im definitely the guy who does not meet or greet people or volunteer.

I also contacted, introduced myself and went out with someone who couldnt be much closer to being a perfect match for me. Ive been a wreck the whole week because of it but i have faith she is the one ive prayed about

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33

32 years ago, I met my wife at church. We were just two people seeking to be faithful and not looking for a relationship. We met at church and have been together ever since. Matthew 6:33 is our verse. Stay faithful to God and He will put the pieces of your life together.

Many times... I've seen enough "impossible things" that I just stay open to whatever may come! Enjoy the ride, smell the roses, bless those around you...

In these trying times, we are told to fear so many things... criminals, a virus, the Russians, the Chinese.... on and on and on....

God says "FEAR NOT!!" It's good advice, take it, spread it around! People need to hear it.
