Default certain rifling designs better or worse for throat wear?

Hope this is in the right forum. When i think of barrels burning out i usually think high power hunting, or long distance shooting...

have been searching the intraweb and not come across this yet, but wondering if certain rifling designs are know to accelerate or reduce throat erosion?

example- 2 of the same rifles side by side... same barrel length, same contour, same chamber, same twist rate... one rifle with a 3groove, and the other with a 5, or 6 groove rifling??
put the same amunition in both rifles and start shooting.

do few grooves usually equal more material per land? would that slow down throat erosion having a more substantial cross section on each land???

-yes?
-no?
-maybe/who cares?
-youre in the wrong forum?

have been looking at possibly switching a rifle over to 6.5-284, or 6.5-280 ai
i have a lot of things to consider before trying to order a barrel, but this question keeps popping up in my head, and the few times i have googled, ive not come up with anything.

i'll bump this for you. i don't know the answer but i think accuracy would matter more than barrel life for that decision, just because the cost of ammo now is much more significant than the cost of replacing a barrel at some point.

yeah- just a theoretical question that's been popping up in my mind on occasion...

lets just say... if you had your choice of 5 different rifling patterns- all high quality and all produced the exact same accuracy? - im curious if one might might make a better/ sturdier land in the throat area than the others? or if one might be better to avoid if it burned up faster?
