FFL near Walnut Creek

Looking for an FFL to transfer a rifle. Local shop does not transfer “hunting” purpose rifles.
Any home based guys?

I've had trouble with each of those. I'd say it's worth the drive to Brentwood and Glaser Arms.

It's illegal to refuse PPT of long guns, regardless of how scary the four letter word is to them. PC 26825.

You may insist on "either do the transfer or get reported to the Bureau of Firearms", but I would just go to Big 5.

The last gun store you ever want to go to is Canyon Sports. Especially for a PPT. It's like going to visit Satan. If this is a long gun, Glaser Arms I'm Brentwood It's quite good. If you want to PM me, I can give you the name of an excellent home-based FFL in Rio Vista who has very low rates and is 100% reliable.

I forgot about big 5 . Concord and p-hill have helped me in the past but beware their scheduling of coe employees is wonky since covid

Call the Concord Big 5. Ask for Tysun. He is the manager there. He will absolutely help you. I've known the man for 20 years.

I second Glaser Arms, I just did a PPT with Zack and he is straight to the point, was in and out within 10 mins to do the paperwork and for pickup a bit of a drive for me but well worth it.

I've always had luck in Livermore with J&R and I need someone close to stay in business so I'll pay more if it's reasonable.

Man I miss hogans so bad ... and tri city was a pure candy store ..... I was always ok without traders . Man I miss the good old days .. come to think of it I bought a Nef 243 from hogans when they were closing for $75 my daughter shot her first pig with that gun

I have to 3rd Glaser Arms, did my transfer/DROS on a my birthday present (I got for myself) there. My first time there, and he is fast and to the point. In and out with no issues. Also the pricing is better for PPT, ammo and shipping a firearms than most other FFLs in the area. I have had good luck at J&R in the past, also a good shop, but their prices went up for transfers recently.

Yeah Zack is a great dude to do business with, probably the most professional and fair FFL that I've dealt with as far as prices go because he doesn't charge those extra nonsense "administrative fees", really wish he was closer.

Traders, Siegel's, Hogan's and White Bear. All of them were great. Siegel's was just amazing. Like Grandpa's cabin.
