Bay Area AK Guru?
Hi there,
I'm wondering if we have any gunsmiths who specialize in AKs in the Bay Area? Specifically looking to have a side rail attached or riveted to the receiver. Any advice/experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good idea, but I have the master mount and couldn’t quite find the sweet spot on my rak-22. It seems to bind up the action in the slightest way that tanks reliability. Appreciate the thought tho- still looking for a gunsmith who can put a side rail on an ak. Thanks!

I suggest you talk to Roman of City Arms in Pleasant Hill. He is a huge ak nut and should be able to steer you in the correct direction.

Give the guys at Solar Tactical a call. Mike (the owner) loves AK's and is a wealth of knowledge. I'm not sure if they can do the work for you but I have zero doubt that he'll be able to steer you into the direction of someone who can.
