Default Lighting strikes

Just got hit with strikes in Sierra foothills(3000 ft) - followed by driving rain for three minutes
Anybody else being hit?

I was peeing in the back yard with the dogs. As I was peeing, lightning lit up the sky and every hair on my body was lit up. I was clearly "grounded." Really freaky feeling. I immediately went inside and felt better.

3 ladies in the house, 2 bathrooms, you do the math. Dogs and I are peeing outside 9/10 times.

I'm in San Diego

That was a nice little bit of lightning and thunder that moved through!

The lightning started at several fires in El Dorado County.. hopefully they got them out quickly. On one of them was off Salmon Falls Road - the response on FB was "we responded but there was nothing there" - which got several responses from residents to the effect of "it is here and it is growing!" I wanted to jump in and say "Don't worry, perhaps they'll just ignore it for a few days like they did the Caldor fire" but resisted my bad impulse.

Firefighters were diverted from the Caldor Fire to fight multiple lightning fires late last night throughout El Dorado County. Lightning from heavy storm cells passing through the northwestern part of El Dorado County started the largest on Kanaka Valley Road in Rescue. The fire is burning in heavy brush and steep terrain. Fortunately, the cell also brought precipitation that is aiding in the suppression of the fire. Firefighters are working in very challenging conditions to create containment lines in the difficult to access terrain but have stopped the forward progress. The fire is 5% contained and 6.4 acres.

Orange. Neighbor's pool hit three or four times. A couple of bolts landed in our back yard ... so something is probably toast.
