I've had pretty good success with heating parts with a propane torch as hot as possible and then squirting the joint liberally with penetrating oil. BTW WD40 is good for driving out moisture but is mediocre as a penetrant. PB blaster is my go-to. Both the expansion/contraction and sudden shock of cooling when squirted, sucking the oil deep into the threads. Let sit overnight, repeat. Have one piece in a securely mounted vise then get a wrench of some kind on the other piece, and a 24" extension. Sweet-talk it... don't just crank. Tap with a hammer, "bounce" on it a little. I took apart a 40-years rusted undercarriage this way. Tuff but can be done, patience pays. Some of the nuts were none too pretty once I got them off, adjust your expectations. Snug fit on the wrench is essential, no adjustable, you'll break it.
You will either save the pieces or destroy them... it happens sometimes. IMHO if it takes more than this it is usually not worth the time and expense to do more... just replace them. Are you sure they're not soldered or pinned? I sincerely appreciate the offer, a bit too far for me in the near future though.
