2020 in the USAR was good to me

Looking at my USAR W2 for the year it appears I made more (not a lot more) in 2020 than that I did over the last 4 years.

A Covid-19 year with minimal BA's and AT's was better than any command time year that included extra time on orders doing change of command inventory.


So if given the choice between Command of a USAR unit or having CV-19, the numbers point to CV-19.

Seriously though, the difference is the administrative excellence of my current unit verses what I left behind.

We didn't have mass medical events. We had to individually go to appointments all of which paid $$$ and points.

We didn't have mass training events for SHARP, EO, etc... We individually conducted it on-line, and got $$$ and points for it.

Verses were I left from just ramming it all into BA and constant failure to execute 1380's or kicking them back so much I just gave up.

I'm baaaacccckkkk. How you been? I agree about it being better financially than previous years, though for a different reason. I spent most of the year deployed.
