Just in case OP isn’t on an entrapment mission, I’ll just say old luck. Your general location would be helpful. What sort of milling do you want to do? I am no machinist but I do understand there is a wide variety of techniques.

There are also fairly low cost classes at your local JC, wherever you happen to be.

^^ I have a buddy that makes the auto sear conversion that fits ar and m series pre assault weapons platforms. He has been selling them in parking lot of the arco in Chula vista for $500 per. I can hook you up.

And a router makes a really lousy end mill.

It still boggles my mind that many people think using a router or drill press is acceptable. If you're milling, you need a milling machine.
