I had to get something out of the back of my safe and had to move my Swedish rifles to do it. I took some pictures and thought I'd start a Swedish Rifle thread...
I've got several FSR M96's, including two with Hellqvist rear sights. I haven't seen much about the Hellqvist. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The FSR M96's shoot pretty well. I'll have to post a range report.

Mustang,
I'd be interested to know your opinion on the Hellqvist sight picture, i.e. easier to see though than the Solderin? Are the adjustments clicks or based on the markings on the sight? Thanks!

I’ve got two run-of-the-mill M96’s, and they’re both amazing shooters.
Those are some beautiful specimens!

The Soderin is the most popular because it is a pretty good sight, IMO. The Hellqvist sight does not "click"...you use the sight gradients.

Wow, those are amazing! I have a pair of M96s, one made in 1911 and the other in 1909. I used to have another made in 1899 but was forced to sell it due to my divorce. I miss that one so I got the other 2. Someday I hope to acquire a M42, a M38 and the unicorn, a M94 carbine.

Keep looking for the M42. They are still out there, just a little more expensive than they used to be.
