The Santa Cruz County health officer, Gail Newell, opened golf driving ranges awhile back. Given her political leanings and Berzekely educational background, I'd bet she don't like guns, uh, huh!

I am craving a day at the range, as most of us in the south bay are for sure. I think there will need to be some forced distancing. Every other bench on the 50/100 ranges closed and 2/3 on pistol closed for spacing. spray and wipe between shooters leaving/filling stations.
For the extra headache I would gladly pay extra to support the range during this time to help cover lost slots and extra cleaning materials. At this point I would pay $40 a day instead of the $23 just to be able to get out of the house and do something other than aimlessly wander around the sidewalks of San Jose. |

Thanks. Yes I found a few in EB/Sacramento I am going to a block of BLM land the 22nd-24th. Just wished we had a more local spot in the meantime and for those with work/family that can't drive out into the middle of the desert for a long weekend.
still hoping SC government will let them open soon, I have a new barrel being chambered, fit, and cerakoted that may not be ready for my desert trip.... you know, new toy needs a workout ![]() |
